The Ministry of Education Grenada, through , is supporting the development of Regional Enhancement Plans (REPs)for T.A. Marryshow Community College, Grenada, and New Life Organization (NEWLO) — a strategic process that aims to help both institutions plan for stronger learning, better student support, inclusion, and regional collaboration. 📘🌱

These REPs are expected to help guide future priorities for stronger post-secondary institutions, improved learning environments, student success, and more connected education pathways across the OECS. 🤝

As the process moves forward, stakeholders will be prepared for upcoming consultative discussions, ensuring that key voices connected to post-secondary education are part of the conversation. 🗣️

The CERC is not automatically activated. It follows formal procedures, required approvals, and a clear implementation framework. This helps ensure that, if an eligible emergency occurs, the response is coordinated, responsible, and aligned with the Project’s approved rules.

At the center of this mechanism is the 𝗖𝗘𝗥𝗖 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗹, which helps guide how the emergency response component would be coordinated and implemented. It outlines key arrangements related to eligible emergency activities, required procedures, financial management, procurement, environmental and social safeguards, documentation, and the preparation of an Emergency Action Plan.

For a small island state like Grenada, preparedness matters. Strong systems help protect education, skills development, institutional progress, and community resilience.

The Government of Grenada has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) Skills & Innovation Project (SKIP) and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services.

The consulting services (“the Services”) include a technical capacity assessment of the Grenada Investment Development Corporation (GIDC) – Business Development Centre (BDC) to identify gaps in fiduciary and innovation-specific technical capacity necessary for the effective management of the competitive matching grants under the OECS SKIP. Based on the findings, the consultancy will develop an action plan outlining measures to build the required capacity, including recommendations for funding additional required staff and necessary training.

In addition, the Consultancy should provide other necessary implementation support for capacity building activities for the GIDC related to grants management under OECS SKIP, including setting up systems, processes and procedures and potentially training for existing or recruited staff.

The consulting firm will be engaged for a period of ten (10) weeks and is expected to commence duties in August 2026.
