One Gambia 🇬🇲

Imam Baba Leigh and Seedy S.K. Njie have, in my view, become symbols of a dangerous direction in Gambian politics—where tribal identity is being dragged into political battles.

For generations, Gambians have lived together, intermarried, shared families, mosques, villages and communities. We are too connected to allow politicians to turn our tribes against one another for political gain.

Recent controversy surrounding comments attributed to Seedy Njie has already triggered condemnation and calls for accountability, while reports say President Barrow has been urged to address the matter.

And yes, President Adama Barrow must answer the political question: does his government genuinely reject tribal politics, or will controversial statements from people close to his administration continue without consequences?

We should challenge individuals for what they say and do—not attack entire tribes.

The Gambia is not Mandinka. It is not Fula. It is not Wolof. It is not Jola. It is not Serahule.

The Gambia belongs to ALL Gambians. 🇬🇲

Enough of the tribal games. Our children deserve a united country—not politicians manufacturing division to win elections.

Bunkum Ebrima Juwara Gambian politics is not Windows Update. You can’t click “I agree” on behalf of everybody and expect the whole country to reboot under your leadership.

The coalition has many voices, many leaders and—plot twist—Gambians have a say too. 😭🔥

Narr character politics: “If I can’t convince them, I’ll simply update them.” 💀🇬🇲

🔥🔥 ESSA FAAL WASN’T SLEEPING — HE WAS LOADING! 🎯💥

While some people were busy talking, insulting, and making noise, Essa was watching, listening, and collecting receipts. 🧾👀

He didn’t fire blindly. He waited. He gathered the evidence. He let the story develop.

And when he believed he had enough ammunition to back his claims — BOOM! 💥 He pulled the trigger politically.

Now they’re calling him “arrogant” because he refused to play along? 😂

No, my people. Saying NO is not arrogance. Asking for evidence is not arrogance. Standing your ground is not arrogance.

If your argument collapses the moment someone says “PROVE IT,” maybe the problem isn’t Essa. 😏🔥

He didn’t make noise. He brought receipts. 📂🎯

🔥 WHEN “NO” BECOMES AN INSULT, POLITICS HAS LOST THE PLOT!

So because Essa Faal said NO to Talib Bensouda, suddenly he is “arrogant”? 🤔

Come on! A politician has every right to disagree, reject a proposal, or refuse to endorse another politician. That is called political choice—not arrogance.

If UMC supporters believe Talib is the best candidate, sell Talib to the Gambian people with facts, policies and performance. Don’t turn every person who disagrees with him into an enemy.

And let’s be honest: if Talib cannot handle a political “NO” without his supporters attacking the person who said it, then the problem is bigger than Essa Faal.

🧸 A teddy bear may never say NO. Politicians will.

Democracy is not about forcing everyone to agree with Talib.
It is about having the freedom to disagree with him.

🇬🇲 Respect political differences. Debate ideas. Stop the personal attacks.

🔥 BREAKING POLITICAL SHIFT! 🇬🇲
The People’s Progressive Party (PPP) has officially confirmed its move to join a UDP-led opposition alliance ahead of the 2026 presidential election.
This is no longer just talk—the opposition is putting pen to paper and closing ranks. 🤝🇬🇲
With the PPP joining the UDP-led alliance, the political equation is changing fast. 2026 is shaping up to be a serious battle for State House.
🔥 One alliance. One direction. One mission: CHANGE.

🔥 KASSA CEESAY NEEDS TO CHECK Her FACTS TOO 🇺🇸🇬🇲

Kassa Ceesay says, “Hospitals in America are not owned by individuals.” That statement is far too absolute.

The American healthcare system includes hospitals owned or operated through for-profit corporations, nonprofit organizations, universities, government entities and other private structures. So saying individuals cannot own hospitals simply because they may operate through corporations is misleading.

The real question is simple:

If Neneh Cheyassin Secka-Kebe says she owns seven hospitals, identify the seven facilities, the companies involved, and the ownership records.

If Kassa says she owns no hospitals, then he should also provide evidence—not just make a sweeping statement.

And if she actually means nursing homes, assisted-living facilities or other healthcare businesses, then the terminology should be clarified.

Politics should not turn into a competition of who can make the loudest claim. SHOW THE DOCUMENTS. 🇺🇸🇬🇲

If Fanding Baldeh was arrested solely for peacefully expressing opposition to a third term, then this is a serious test of The Gambia's commitment to democracy and the rule of law. No free society should criminalize peaceful political expression. If there is no lawful basis for his detention, he must be released immediately. The authorities owe the public a clear legal explanation—not silence. Democracy is not measured by how it treats supporters of those in power, but by how it protects the rights of those who disagree.
