"Be the Solution, Not the Pollution" Earth Day Expo with Naval Base Guam NAVFAC community! 🌎💚

Students explored hands- on stations focused on conservation,
upcycling, and protecting our local environment. Community partners from NBG NAVFAC Marianas, NBG Environmental, and University of Guam's Center for Island Sustainability & Sea Grant led engaging activities that encouraged students to ask questions, learn, and think about real-world environmental solutions.

A special thank you to the After-School YES (Youth Environmental Stewards) Club, advisor Dr. Gina Gonzales, McCool Middle School Science Department, and our community partners, NAVFAC Marianas, and UOG CIS and Sea Grant for making this meaningful event possible each year.

Students left inspired with simple, practical ways to reduce waste, protect our island, and make a positive impact. 🌱✨

🎳 Strike Alert: All-Island Results are in!

Huge CONGRATULATIONS to Kaytlyn H. for her incredible performance at the All-Island Singles Bowling Tournament!

Competing against the top bowlers from across the island, Kaytlyn showed off her skill and focus, rolling her way to an impressive 8th place finish. It takes a lot of heart (and plenty of strikes) to rank that high in such a competitive field.

Next time you see Kaytlyn in the halls, be sure to give her a high-five for representing our school so well on the lanes!

Way to go, Kaytlyn! 🏆🎉

The boys team will compete in the All Island Bakers Tournament! Let’s give them a big sendoff!

✨Congratulations to our newest NJHS Inductees! ✨

Today, the Sumay Chapter of the National Junior Honor Society officially grew a little larger- and a lot brighter! 🌟

We are incredibly proud to welcome our newest members who were inducted this afternoon. These students haven't just maintained high grades; they have consistently demonstrated the five pillars of the NJHS:

Scholarship 📚
Service 🤝
Leadership ⚓
Character ⭐
Citizenship

Joining the NJHS is a prestigious milestone, but it’s also a commitment to continue making a positive impact on our school and the wider community. We can’t wait to see the amazing things this group will accomplish together!

Help us celebrate their hard work and dedication by congratulating them below 🥳

The preschoolers in Mrs. Guerrero's class recently explored the importance of recycling through a special collaboration with Mr. Dodd's middle school science class. Together, students transformed recyclable materials into creative crafts while discovering how everyday items can be reused in meaningful ways.

This collaboration encouraged teamwork, imagination, and environmental awareness. Way to go McCoolios!

When Typhoon Sinlaku rolled through Naval Base Guam in April, our students faced a surprise challenge:

✨ No electricity
✨ No WiFi
✨ No school for a whole week
✨ Unlimited family bonding time 😄

And just like that, they bounced back—walking into school with smiles, ready for summative testing!

Military- connected kids are resilient, adaptable, and truly typhoon- tested and proven!💜

Special THANK YOU to our amazing PTO for sponsoring fun events for our kids all month long!
