People Before Profit Galway was out today talking to people about the cost of living crisis and the upcoming protest in Dublin on September 19th. The response was fantastic, the anger is palpable. If there’s one thing that the fuel protests should have taught everyone it’s that we need to fight to get the psychopaths in government to listen. There are real alternatives to this dystopian nightmare we’re living in.

When did the “cost of living” become an acceptable standard in human life? When did we decide it was fair to have to pay to live? If you believe your life and that of your friends, family and children, is worth more than what your job pays you, you’ll have to fight for it. Because if the Government of Ireland has forgotten that you’re human beings, not human capital, then you need to remind them. Loudly. Angrily. Unitedly.

However he was attacked by anti-fascists who knocked him to the ground, and had to be rescued and escorted by 250 police, who were unable to prevent the fascist being pelted with tomatoes, eggs, coins and stones. Our members joined members of the Galway Palestine Solidarity Campaign down at Pearse Stadium today to protest Ireland playing Israel behind closed doors. The only moral action to take is to shun the Zionist entity in every domain. Ireland as a former colony cannot normalise a colonial outpost through football. .
