The farmers of Bidadi have been protesting for more than 550 days against land acquisition for the Bidadi Township Project. 7,481 acres of fertile agricultural land has been mislabeled as wasteland to push the project through. Currently thousands of farmers face displacement.

AISA calls the people of Karnataka to join the indefinite hunger strike and road blockade on 21 September at Byramangala Dharani. Let us join in massive numbers and resist this unjust land acquisition.

ಬಿಡದಿ ಟೌನ್‌ಶಿಪ್ ಯೋಜನೆಯಿಂದ ಆಗುವ ಭೂಸ್ವಾಧೀನವನ್ನು ವಿರೋಧಿಸಿ ಬಿಡದಿಯ ರೈತರು 550 ದಿನಗಳಿಗೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಕಾಲ ಪ್ರತಿಭಟನೆ ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಯೋಜನೆಯನ್ನು ಜಾರಿಗೆ ತರಲು 7,481 ಎಕರೆ ಫಲವತ್ತಾದ ಕೃಷಿ ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ಬಂಜರಭೂಮಿ ಎಂದು ತಪ್ಪಾಗಿ ಹೆಸರಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಇದರಿಂದಾಗಿ ಸಾವಿರಾರು ರೈತರು ಸ್ಥಳಾಂತರವನ್ನು ಎದುರಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಸೆಪ್ಟೆಂಬರ್ 21 ರಂದು ಬೈರಮಂಗಲ ಧರಣಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯಲಿರುವ ಅನಿರ್ದಿಷ್ಟಾವಧಿ ಉಪವಾಸ ಸತ್ಯಾಗ್ರಹ ಮತ್ತು ರಸ್ತೆ ತಡೆಗೆ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಜನತೆ ಸೇರಬೇಕೆಂದು AISA ಕರೆ ನೀಡಿದೆ.

AISA stands in solidarity with the Bidadi farmers' call for an indefinite hunger strike and road blockade on 21 September at Byramangala Dharani.

For more than 500 days, the farmers of Bidadi have been waging a heroic struggle against the corporate land grab being carried out under the name of building the Bidadi Township Project. We call upon the people of Karnataka to join and amplify this historic struggle!

While the Congress government may claim to be undertaking miraculous reforms in education through the KPS scheme, a closer inspection reveals the truth. The KPS scheme is slowly selling Karnataka's education system to private players. In the process, the poorest will be unable to access education. We must not be eyewashed by glamourous promises!

Down with KPS scheme!
Education is a right not a commodity!

On 13 September, Comrade Ganga from AISA participated as a speaker in a panel discussion titled "The Future of Protest" at the Bangalore International Centre (BIC).

From the historic role of students and youth in people's movements, the state's brutal crackdown on the struggles of marginalised communities to the interconnected nature of these movements and the need for unity in among all these resistance movements, Comrade Ganga enriched the discussion with important political perspectives.
