BEML has recently achieved significant milestones with the delivery of key projects that contribute to the nation’s growth, including India’s first indigenously designed and manufactured Vande Bharat Sleeper Trainset, a 1500 HP Engine for Main Battle Tanks, the first-of-its-kind sustainable Electric Rope Shovel for mining, and Driverless Metro Trainsets for Metro projects, and most recently, developing India’s first indigenous high-speed bullet train that may run upto 250-280 kmph. BEML Limited had the privilege of welcoming Lt Gen Amardeep Singh Aujla, PVSM, UYSM, YSM, SM, VSM, Master General of Sustenance, and Lt Gen Deepak Ahuja, DG OS, Col Comdt, AOC, along with senior officers of the Indian Army, to its Headquarters in Bengaluru. The delegation was received by Shri Shantanu Roy, CMD, BEML.

During the visit, BEML showcased its expanding capabilities in indigenous defence manufacturing, highlighting advancements in next-generation land systems, advanced mobility platforms, and strategic defence programmes. Dr. Garima Bhagat, IRS, Joint Secretary (LS), Department of Defence Production (DDP), Ministry of Defence, accompanied by Shri Provash Ranjan Biswas, Deputy Director General (DDG), visited BEML's Mysore Complex to review its manufacturing capabilities, production infrastructure and indigenous product portfolio.
The dignitaries were received by Shri Sanjay Som, Director (Mining), Shri Sachin Dhigde, Director (Defence), Brig Vivek Kohar, Head- Mysore complex and senior officials of BEML.

During the visit, the delegation toured the Engine Division, High Mobility Vehicle (HMV) Assembly and Mining Assembly Shop, where they were briefed on the manufacturing processes, assembly operations, quality assurance systems and production capabilities.
The delegation witnessed live demonstrations of the BWS-50 Water Sprinkler and WS-28-2 Water Sprinkler, showcasing their operational performance and field applications.

They have also seen the functionalities of BH60M Dumper, BH35-2 Electric Dumper and High Mobility Vehicles (HMVs), and were apprised of their technical features, operational capabilities and BEML's initiatives towards sustainable mining through electric mobility.

Shri Sanjeev Kumar, Secretary (Defence Production), Ministry of Defence, along with Dr. Garima Bhagat, Joint Secretary (Land Systems), Department of Defence Production, and Shri Provash Ranjan Biswas, Deputy Director General (DDG), Department of Defence Production, visited BEML Limited's Rail Complex in Bengaluru to review the Company's advanced rail manufacturing capabilities and ongoing strategic projects.

The dignitaries were received by Shri Shantanu Roy, Chairman & Managing Director, BEML Limited, along with the Functional Directors and senior officials of the Company.

During the visit, the senior officials toured BEML's state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities, where the company is producing Vande Bharat Sleeper trainsets, Metro rolling stock, and high-speed trainsets. At the ADITYA Plant, the delegation reviewed the progress of the country's first high-speed trainset manufacturing programme, with BEML's engineering team presenting the key milestones, technological capabilities, and manufacturing progress of the prestigious project.

The delegation also visited the Metro Train Testing Facility, Bogie Hangar, Underframe Shop, the Pink Line—an assembly line operated entirely by women professionals—Carbody Hangar, and the Vande Bharat Sleeper train manufacturing line.

BEML Limited has been conferred with six prestigious honours at the 4th Edition of the Business Innovation Awards 2026, held in Bengaluru, reaffirming the company's leadership in innovation, organisational excellence, infrastructure development, workplace culture, and corporate communications.

The awards were received by BEML's senior leadership team on behalf of the Company. Shri Anil Jerath, Director (Finance), received the Visionary Public Sector Leader of the Year award on behalf of Shri Shantanu Roy, Chairman & Managing Director, and also accepted the Best Performing PSU of the Year award. Shri Debi Prasad Satpathy, Director (Human Resources), received the Best Public Sector Workplace Culture award, while Shri Sanjay Som, Director (Mining & Construction), accepted the Infrastructure PSU of the Year award. Shri Om Prakash Singh, Executive Director (Rail & Metro), received the Public Sector Innovation Excellence Award, and Shri Tapash Talukdar, Head – CC, received the Public Sector Marketing & Communication award.

The recognitions coincide with a landmark year for BEML. In FY 2025–26, the Company achieved its highest-ever annual turnover, highest investment in Research & Development, highest order book, and highest capital expenditure. During the year, BEML delivered India's first Vande Bharat Sleeper trainset and indigenously developed India's first all-electric BRS21 Rope Shovel, underscoring its commitment to innovation, indigenous manufacturing, and the vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat. Alongside these achievements, BEML continued to foster an innovation-driven workplace, strengthen its talent pool, and further reinforce its position as one of India's leading diversified engineering brands.

BEML LTD. has secured an additional export order worth USD 5.35 million from the Middle East for the supply of heavy earthmoving equipment, building on the USD 36.38 million export contract announced earlier this year.

Originally developed for demanding mining operations, BEML's heavy earthmoving equipment is now supporting critical infrastructure and strategic construction projects across global markets. Engineered for reliability, durability, and safety, these machines meet stringent international standards while delivering high performance in challenging environments.

As part of the contract, BEML will also provide comprehensive lifecycle support through its regional service network, ensuring maximum equipment availability and operational excellence. This repeat order reflects the confidence our international customers place in BEML's engineering capabilities and reinforces our growing presence in the Middle East. It also aligns with the Government of India's vision of promoting and expanding the country's global manufacturing and export footprint.

Having recorded our highest-ever international order bookings in FY 2025–26, BEML continues to strengthen its position as a trusted global partner for world-class engineering solutions.
