The National Institute of Disaster Management ( ), Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, in collaboration with Academy, Nagpur, organised the ๐ง๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ถ๐ป๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ด๐ฟ๐ฎ๐บ๐บ๐ฒ ๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ ๐ฃ๐๐๐ฐ๐ต๐ผ๐๐ผ๐ฐ๐ถ๐ฎ๐น ๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฒ ๐ถ๐ป ๐๐ถ๐๐ฎ๐๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ from 2nd โ 4th June, 2026 at NDRF Academy, Nagpur. The programme was held under the patronage of ๐ฆ๐ต๐ฟ๐ถ ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ต๐๐ฝ ๐ฉ๐๐ฎ๐, ๐๐๐ฆ, ๐๐
๐ฒ๐ฐ๐๐๐ถ๐๐ฒ ๐๐ถ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฐ๐๐ผ๐ฟ, ๐ก๐๐๐ , ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐๐ฟ๐ถ๐ด. ๐ฅ. ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐๐ต๐๐ฎ ๐ก๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐๐ฎ๐ป๐ฎ๐ป, ๐๐ถ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฐ๐๐ผ๐ฟ, ๐ก๐๐ฅ๐ ๐๐ฐ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐บ๐.
This comprehensive three-day residential training programme was designed to equip officers and subordinate officers of the NDRF with the knowledge, techniques, and personal resilience tools needed for effective psychosocial care in disaster settings โ empowering them to become trainers in this critical field.

๐น ๐๐ฎ๐ ๐ญ โ ๐๐ผ๐๐ป๐ฑ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐ฃ๐๐๐ฐ๐ต๐ผ๐๐ผ๐ฐ๐ถ๐ฎ๐น ๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฒ: ๐๐ฟ. ๐๐ท๐ถ๐ป๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐ช๐ฎ๐น๐ถ๐ฎ, ๐๐๐๐ผ๐ฐ๐ถ๐ฎ๐๐ฒ ๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ณ๐ฒ๐๐๐ผ๐ฟ, ๐ก๐๐๐ , introduced the aims and principles of psychosocial support in disaster management, addressing the visible and invisible needs of survivors and core techniques of community participation in disaster response.
๐น ๐๐ฎ๐ ๐ฎ โ ๐๐ต๐ถ๐น๐ฑ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ป, ๐๐ถ๐ฟ๐๐ ๐ฅ๐ฒ๐๐ฝ๐ผ๐ป๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ & ๐ฃ๐ง๐ฆ๐: ๐๐ฟ. ๐๐ท๐ถ๐ป๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐ช๐ฎ๐น๐ถ๐ฎ covered the differential impact of disasters on children and age-appropriate intervention techniques. ๐ ๐. ๐ฆ๐ต๐ถ๐ธ๐ต๐ฎ ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ฎ๐ป, ๐ฃ๐๐๐ฐ๐ต๐ถ๐ฎ๐๐ฟ๐ถ๐๐, led dedicated sessions on the mental wellbeing of NDRF first responders, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder ( ) โ its symptoms, management, and care strategies following post-disaster field operations.
๐น ๐๐ฎ๐ ๐ฏ โ ๐๐ฒ๐ป๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ฟ, ๐ฆ๐ฒ๐น๐ณ-๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฒ & ๐๐น๐ผ๐๐ถ๐ป๐ด: ๐๐ฟ. ๐๐ท๐ถ๐ป๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐ช๐ฎ๐น๐ถ๐ฎ addressed the differential impact of disasters on women and gender-sensitive disaster management approaches, followed by the ๐ง๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฒ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐ฆ๐๐๐๐ฒ๐ป๐ฎ๐ป๐ฐ๐ฒ exercise on burnout prevention and self-care. ๐ฆ๐ต. ๐ฅ๐ฎ๐ท๐ฒ๐๐ต ๐ฆ๐ต๐ฒ๐๐ฒ, ๐๐ฟ๐ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐๐ถ๐๐ถ๐ป๐ด, conducted experiential exercises on stress management and handling responsibilities for sustainable practice.
The programme concluded with feedback, valediction, and distribution of certificates by the Director, NDRF Academy, recognising participants who completed all three days.
