Launching of Fire Safety Week (4th May - 10th May 2026) by Smt. Punya Salila Srivastava, Union Health Secretary, MoHFW for observing the nationwide Fire Safety Week. The theme is "Safe School, Safe Hospital and Fire Safety Awareness Society - Together for Fire Prevention". A Fire & Life Safety Guidelines was also launched.
The state observation is chaired by Director (Health Services) and participated by the officials and staffs of Directorate of Health Services and National Health Mission, Manipur. Pleges were also taken by the participants.

Kakching Launches National Deworming Drive; Schools Mobilised to Reach All Children

March 31, 2026 : The first round of National Deworming Day 2026 was officially launched in Kakching district today at Langmeidong Higher Secondary School, marking the beginning of a district-wide health campaign targeting children.

Organised by the District Health Society Kakching in collaboration with the Zonal Education Office, the programme saw around 100 students administered deworming tablets at the launch event.

With the rollout, tablets are being distributed across all schools in the district to ensure wider coverage.
