Faculty Development Programme on Embedded System Design with ARM Cortex Microcontrollers

A successful 5-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Embedded System Design with ARM Cortex Microcontrollers” was conducted at E K N M Model Polytechnic College, Kalliassery, Kannur, from 17 to 21 August 2026.

The programme was conducted by NIELIT Calicut under the Electronics & ICT Academy Scheme – Phase II, funded by the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India.

The FDP provided faculty members with valuable exposure to ARM Cortex-based embedded system design and hands-on learning, strengthening their skills in modern embedded technologies.

A successful Faculty Development Programme on “Drone Technology and Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS)” was conducted at Government Polytechnic College, Pala, during 3–5 & 13–14 August 2026.

The programme brought together faculty members and participants for valuable learning and knowledge sharing in the rapidly evolving field of drone technology and UAS.

The National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT), Calicut and St. Joseph’s College of Engineering & Technology (SJCET), Palai signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Monday, 10 August 2026, marking a significant step towards strengthening collaboration in technical education, skill development, industry-oriented training and emerging technologies.

The MoU will facilitate joint initiatives including skill-based programmes, advanced technical training, workshops, faculty development programmes, student capacity building, project-based learning and technology-enabled academic activities, aligned with the evolving needs of the electronics and IT ecosystem.

The collaboration aims to provide students and faculty with enhanced opportunities to gain practical exposure to emerging technologies and contribute to innovation and knowledge development.
