Day 1 of Swachh Gaon, Suraksh*t Jalvayu" – Sensitisation on SWM Rules through VC at Kamrup (M) District.

As part of the inaugural day of the "Swachh Gaon, Suraksh*t Jalvayu" Campaign, a sensitisation programme on the Solid Waste Management (SWM) Rules, 2026 and the directives of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India was conducted through Video Conferencing (VC) mode for Gram Panchayat representatives and Lead Facilitators under Kamrup Metropolitan District.

Clean villages, responsible waste management and community participation are key to building a climate-resilient rural India.

Sensitization of Stakeholders through VC on SWM Rules, 2026
Barpeta has officially launched the Swachh Gaon, Suraksh*t Jalvayu 2026 Campaign with a virtual meeting today.
The Chief Engineer (PHE), Sanitation, Assam motivated the team Barpeta to lead by example in executing the SWM Rules, 2026.
The Chief Executive Officer of Barpeta Zilla Parishad and the Additional District Commissioner (PHE) led the strategy discussion alongside dedicated PHED and P&RD Officials.
