Siliguri Municipal Corporation joins the nation in celebrating the 6th anniversary of the PM SVANidhi Scheme! Launched to bring Swarozgar, Svavlamban, and Swabhimaan to our local micro-entrepreneurs, the scheme continues to be a driving force of financial inclusion and economic transformation right here in Siliguri.
We are proud to share our progressive achievements as of May 30, 2026, showcasing how our street vendors are moving up the economic ladder across the First, Second, and Third loan tranches.
📊 𝐒𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐮𝐫𝐢 𝐌𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬
• Total Scheme Applications: A staggering 19,595 applications processed across all terms!
• Successful Loan Disbursements:
o First Tranche: 9,508 vendors successfully empowered with initial working capital.
o Second Tranche: 2,783 progressive vendors upgraded to higher loan limits.
o Third Tranche: 119 top-performing entrepreneurs reaching the highest tier of financial support.
• Driving Digital India:
o 5,829 vendors are now completely Digital Active, successfully shifting our local markets toward a cashless economy!
o 59 advanced vendors have already been equipped with specialized Credit Cards to expand their businesses.
• Holistic Welfare (SVANidhi se Samriddhi): Socio-economic profiling has been successfully completed for 6,041 beneficiaries out of a total 9,425, paving the way to link them with essential central welfare schemes!
