🚨 BREAKING NEWS: BOAKAI DECLARES ALL-OUT WAR ON DRUG CARTELS—Top Security Officials Fired, Suspended, and Facing Criminal Investigation

MONROVIA, LIBERIA – In one of the strongest anti-narcotics actions taken by his administration, President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr. has ordered the immediate dismissal, suspension, and investigation of several senior government officials and law enforcement officers allegedly linked to ongoing major narcotics trafficking cases.
According to Presidential Press Secretary Atty. Kula Bonah Nyei Fofana, the President's decision follows his review of the latest status report submitted by investigators handling some of Liberia's most significant drug trafficking cases.
The Executive Mansion said the actions demonstrate the Government's unwavering commitment to accountability, the rule of law, and ensuring that public officials uphold the highest standards of integrity while serving the Liberian people.
Following the review, President Boakai ordered the immediate dismissal of Mr. Mark Egon Kuiah, Deputy Director for Operations at Roberts International Airport (RIA); Mr. Johnny Bolar Dean, Commissioner of Police for Criminal Investigation, Intelligence and INTERPOL; and Mr. Patrick Doe, Deputy Director for Administration at the National Security Agency (NSA).
The President also recalled Mr. Patrick Komasu (702) from his assignment with the Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA), suspended him without pay, and ordered that he be placed under active investigation.
In connection with the seizure of 198 plates of processed co***ne at Roberts International Airport and the confiscation of 3,971 plates of co***ne from the premises of two foreign nationals, President Boakai further ordered the dismissal of:
- Mohammed O. Gbowrah, Director of Security, Roberts International Airport.
- Moses Jallah, Deputy Commander, Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency, Roberts International Airport.
Additionally, two officers of the Liberia National Police (LNP) have been dismissed after they were allegedly found to have used official government vehicles to facilitate the transportation of narcotics from Vincent Town along the Bomi Highway to the vicinity of Mega Mart in Thinker Village, Paynesville. They are:
- Anthony T. Blaye
- Wadell W. Kwarbo
The President also directed the immediate dismissal of the following officials and ordered that they be turned over to the Ministry of Justice for prosecution in keeping with Liberian law:
- Jammel V. Jallah, Agent, National Security Agency.
- Christian L. Nyantee, Agent, National Security Agency.
- Caycee Nelson, Procurement Director, Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection.
- Albenigo Janior, Agent, National Security Agency.
President Boakai emphasized that his administration will not tolerate criminal conduct within the public sector and that no government official involved in narcotics trafficking will be allowed to remain in office.
He reaffirmed that the Government will continue to enforce the law without fear or favor, ensuring that every individual connected to narcotics trafficking and related criminal activities is held fully accountable.
The President has further instructed all security and law enforcement agencies to intensify ongoing investigations and ensure that everyone linked to these cases is brought before the courts in accordance with due process of law.
The Executive Mansion reaffirmed the Government's determination to combat narcotics trafficking, dismantle criminal networks, strengthen national security, and safeguard Liberia's international reputation.
