Open to people from 16 years upwards for STEAM (Innovators) and 15–35 for Sebabatso (Entrepreneurs) from all ten districts, these programmes invite all Basotho innovators and entrepreneurs to apply with their best ideas for change.

Spanning the Senqu River, the new bridge connects communities to opportunity, improving access to services, trade, and livelihoods in Lesotho’s highlands.

The UN Resident Coordinator Taija kontinen-Sharp attended the launch of the Senqu Bridge, a key milestone in the Lesotho Highlands Water Project Phase II. The bridge will play a critical role in maintaining connectivity for communities as the Polihali Dam and reservoir develop.

This milestone reflects the power of regional cooperation and shared investment in sustainable development between Lesotho and South Africa. The United Nations remains committed to supporting Lesotho’s national development priorities and progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals, ensuring no one is left behind.
