The Embassy of Algeria in Windhoek commemorates, on Thursday, August 20, 2026, the double anniversary of the North Constantine Offensive (1955) and the Soummam Conference (1956) - National Mujahid Day, under the theme: "In the Footsteps of Their Struggle, We Proceed".

This momentous occasion stands as a decisive milestone in the history of our glorious liberation revolution. The offensive of August 20, 1955, demonstrated the unbreakable cohesion between the people and the National Liberation Army (ALN) while breaking the colonial siege on the Aurès region. One year later, the Soummam Conference of August 20, 1956, established the foundational and organizational structure of the modern Algerian State.

On this occasion, the Embassy of Algeria in Windhoek cordially invites all members of the Algerian national community residing in the Republic of Namibia to attend the commemorative ceremony at the Embassy's premises on Thursday, August 20, 2026, starting at 11:30 AM.
Your presence honors us
Glory and eternity to our valiant martyrs. Long live Algeria, free and proud.
