Media Coverage of the National People's Assembly Elections 2026

Within the framework of the ongoing preparations for the upcoming Legislative elections in Algeria, scheduled for July 02, 2026, the Embassy of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria in Windhoek informs all journalists wishing to cover this electoral event in Algeria that they can submit their applications for temporary accreditation to the Embassy's services, from June 04 to June 20, 2026.
The accreditation application file must include the following documents:

1. A formal request issued by the professional journalist's employing media organization.
2. An information form, to be downloaded from the website of the National Independent Authority for Elections:

(A Copy of witch is attached hereto)
3. A visa application form, which can be downloaded from the Embassy's website:

(to be filled out by the applicant).
4. A copy of the applicant's professional press card.
5. A copy of the applicant's passport.
6. Two (02) recent passport-sized photographs, and a digital photo in JPEG format.
7. A list of technical equipment.

في إطار التحضيرات الجارية لتنظيم الانتخابات التشريعية بالجزائر، المقررة يوم 02 جويلية 2026، تنهي سفارة الجمهورية الجزائرية الديمقراطية الشعبية بوندهوك إلى علم كافة الصحفيين الراغبين في تغطية هذا الاستحقاق الانتخابي بالجزائر، أنه بإمكانهم إيداع ملفات طلب الاعتماد المؤقت لدى مصالح السفارة، خلال الفترة الممتدة من 04 إلى 20 جوان 2026.

في إطار التحضير لـ الانتخابات التشريعية المقررة يوم الخميس 02 جويلية 2026، وتجسيداً للمسار الديمقراطي وبناء مؤسسات الدولة، تنهي سفارة الجزائر بوندهوك إلى علم كافة أفراد الجالية الوطنية المقيمة في جمهورية ناميبيا أنه قد تم تخصيص فضاء رقمي شامل عبر الموقع الإلكتروني الرسمي للسفارة، يُعنى بكافة تفاصيل هذا الاستحقاق الوطني الهام.

شارك سفير الجزائر لدى ناميبيا، السيد عبد الكريم ضياف، في فعاليات الطبعة الثالثة لمعرض التجارة ومنتدى الأعمال القاري "الاستثمار في إفريقيا 2026" (Invest in Africa Trade Expo & Business Summit)، المنعقد بمدينة سواكوبموند بناميبيا في الفترة الممتدة من 28 إلى 30 ماي 2026، حيث كان مرفوقا بالسيد إسحاق العشعاش، ملحق الشؤون الخارجية لدى السفارة.
​وقد شكّل هذا الحدث الاقتصادي البارز، الذي حظي برعاية ومشاركة رسمية من الحكومة الناميبية، فضاءً هاماً لطرح المقاربة الجزائرية إزاء التكامل القاري، حيث ركّزت مداخلة سفارة الجزائر على استعراض المزايا التنافسية والضمانات التي يوفرها قانون الاستثمار الجديد عبر وكالة الاستثمار الجزائرية AAPI، مع إبراز الريادة الميدانية للجزائر في تفعيل منطقة الـ AfCFTA من خلال "مبادرة التجارة الموجهة" ونظام الدفع (PAPSS)، وتأكيد جاهزيتها التامة لاحتضان مقر الوكالة القارية للاستثمار (PATIA) لربط الشرايين اللوجستية والتجارية بين شمال القارة وجنوبها.

The Ambassador of Algeria to Namibia, H.E. Mr. Abdelkrim Diaf, participated in the proceedings of the third edition of the continental "Invest in Africa Trade Expo & Business Summit 2026", held in the coastal city of Swakopmund, Namibia, from May 28 to 30, 2026. His Excellency was accompanied by Mr. Ishak Elacheache, AFA at the Embassy.
This prominent economic event, which enjoyed official patronage and participation from the Namibian government, served as an important platform to present the Algerian approach toward continental integration. The intervention of the Embassy of Algeria focused on showcasing the competitive advantages and guarantees provided by the New Investment Law through the Algerian Investment Promotion Agency (AAPI). It also highlighted Algeria's operational leadership in activating the AfCFTA zone through the "Guided Trade Initiative" and the Pan-African Payment and Settlement System (PAPSS). Furthermore, it reaffirmed Algeria's full readiness to host the permanent headquarters of the Pan-African Trade and Investment Agency (PATIA) to connect the logistical and trade arteries between the north and south of the continent.

استذكارا لليوم الوطني للكشافة الإسلامية الجزائرية (27 مايو 1941-2026) تحت شعار «الكشافة مدرسة للوطنية»، تحيي سفارة الجزائر بوندهوك هذه المحطة التاريخية المجيدة التي تخلد ذكرى استشهاد البطل محمد بوراس، مؤسس الحركة الكشفية الجزائرية.

إن هذا اليوم الوطني يمثل رمزية بالغة في مسار كفاح شعبنا الأبي، حيث أعدم القائد البطل محمد بوراس على يد المستعمر الفرنسي في 27 مايو 1941، نظير عمله الوطني الدؤوب في غرس قيم التحرر، والذود عن الهوية الوطنية، وإذكاء روح النضال في نفوس الشباب الناشئ.

لقد أثبتت الكشافة الإسلامية الجزائرية، عبر مختلف محطات التاريخ، أنها بحق مدرسة للوطنية، تخرجت منها طلائع المجاهدين وقادة الثورة التحريرية المظفرة، وتواصل اليوم دورها التربوي والوطني النبيل في تحصين الناشئة وتأهيل الكفاءات الشبابية للمساهمة في بناء جزائر مزدهرة ورائدة.

Commemorating the National Day of the Algerian Muslim Scouts (May 27, 1941) under the motto "Scouting is a School of Patriotism", the Embassy of Algeria in Windhoek observes this glorious historical milestone that commemorates the martyrdom of the founder of the scouting movement, the heroic martyr Mohamed Bouras.

This national day holds a profound symbolism in the course of our proud people's struggle, as the leader Mohamed Bouras was executed by the French colonizer on May 27, 1941, in recognition of his tireless patriotic work in instilling the values of liberation, defending the national identity, and igniting the spirit of struggle within the rising youth.

The Algerian Muslim Scouts has proven, throughout various stages of history, to be truly a school of patriotism, from which the vanguards of freedom fighters and leaders of the glorious liberation revolution graduated, and it continues today its noble educational and national role in safeguarding the youth and qualifying young talents to contribute to the building and prosperity of the New Algeria.

Glory and eternity to our valiant martyrs, and a tribute of appreciation and reverence to the family of the Algerian Muslim Scouts. 🇩🇿

شاركت سفارة الجزائر بوندهوك، اليوم الاثنين 25 ماي 2026، في فعاليات الاحتفال بـ "يوم إفريقيا"، الذي نظمته وزارة العلاقات الدولية والتعاون الناميبية بالتنسيق مع مجموعة السفراء الأفارقة المعتمدين لدى ناميبيا.
​وشهدت الاحتفالية حضوراً رسميا ودبلوماسياً مميزا، حقق الجناح الجزائري خلاله إقبالا واسعا من قبل المسؤولين الناميبيين وأعضاء السلك الدبلوماسي والزوار. وقد أتيحت للحاضرين فرصة اكتشاف تنوع وثراء الموروث الثقافي الجزائري من خلال عرض منوع للأطباق التقليدية والحلويات الأصيلة، إلى جانب أزياء ومقتنيات تراثية تعكس الهوية التاريخية العريقة للجزائر.

The Embassy of Algeria in Windhoek participated today, Monday, May 25, 2026, in the celebrations of "Africa Day," organized by the Namibian Ministry of International Relations and Cooperation-Namibia (Trade) in coordination with the African Group of Ambassadors and Hight Commissioners accredited to Namibia.

The event witnessed a distinguished official and diplomatic attendance, during which the Algerian pavilion attracted a wide turnout of Namibian officials, members of the diplomatic corps, and visitors. Attendees had the opportunity to discover the diversity and richness of Algerian cultural heritage through a varied display of traditional dishes and authentic sweets, alongside heritage costumes and artifacts reflecting Algeria's deep-rooted historical identity.
