🇳🇦 Namibian sports executive invited for an information visit to Germany! 🇩🇪
Last week, the Embassy's Deputy Head of Mission, Florian Seitz, welcomed the President of the Namibia National Olympic Committee, Dr. Ndeulipula Hamutumwa. He is taking part in an information visit to Germany under the theme "Germany as a Country of Sporting Excellence."
The visit will take place from 6th to 12th September 2026. Several sports journalists and sports experts from around the world are participating in this visit.
A seasoned sports executive with more than 25 years of experience in sports governance, corporate strategy and business management, Dr. Hamutumwa will take part in a programme showcasing how sport contributes to society both on and off the field.
The study tour includes discussions on:
⚽ Sport as a driver of social integration, participation and inclusion
♿ The development of para sport and accessibility in sport
🤝 Sport as a tool of cultural diplomacy
🏟️ Visits to leading German sports institutions, including the German Olympic Sports Confederation, the German Athletics Federation, the German Football Association, the National Paralympic Committee Germany, the Federal Ministry of the Interior and the Federal Foreign Office
🎤 Specialist exchanges with German sports journalists, sports club officials, event organisers and experts, as well as visits to sports facilities and sporting events
The information visit also highlights Germany's commitment to international sport and forms part of the country's vision and preparations in connection with its bid to host the 2036 Olympic Games.
