The Enugu State Waste Management Authority (ESWAMA) has taken note of the social media publication alleging that individuals purportedly involved in waste disposal activities robbed a member of the public at night in Independence Layout, Enugu.
ESWAMA wishes to state categorically that the Authority does not condone, support, or have any involvement in robbery, harassment, assault, or any other criminal activity whatsoever.
The identity, affiliation and activities of the persons alleged to have committed the robbery have not been established or verified by ESWAMA, and the presence of an ESWAMA waste truck or waste collection activity in an area should not, by itself, be interpreted as evidence that persons involved in criminal activities are employees, agents or representatives of the Authority.
Members of the public are encouraged to report any suspected criminal activity immediately to the appropriate security agencies and, where ESWAMA personnel or operations are directly implicated, to notify the Authority through its official channels for proper investigation.
ESWAMA remains committed to safe, professional and responsible waste management services across Enugu State and will cooperate with relevant security authorities in investigating any credible allegation involving persons associated with its operations.
