PSSDC, Go-Forte Foundation to Collaborate on Strengthening Architectural Capacity in Lagos Public Service

The Lagos State Public Service Staff Development Centre, , and are set to collaborate on specialized architectural training for Lagos State Public Servants.

The Founder of Go-Forte Foundation, Arc. Gbenga Onabanjo, made this known during a courtesy visit to PSSDC recently.

Arc. Onabanjo disclosed that he was part of the team of architects responsible for the master planning of the Centre’s infrastructure over 30 years ago. He noted that the structures remain solid till date, attributing this to sound architectural planning which anticipates both present and future development needs.

“Good architectural planning captures not only existing buildings but also future expansion. Critical elements such as road networks, drainage systems, and pathways must be properly designed from the onset,” he stated.

He further emphasized the need for newly recruited civil servants to receive proper career orientation and professional grounding. He proposed a structured 6-month training program to equip them with the requisite knowledge and skills to function effectively within the public service system.

He expressed the readiness of Go-Forte Foundation to partner with PSSDC in delivering specialized architectural training for Lagos State civil servants.

In his response, the Director-General of PSSDC, Mr Adekunmilola Adio-Moses, appreciated Arc. Onabanjo for the visit and acknowledged the Foundation’s willingness to collaborate. He affirmed PSSDC’s commitment to partnering with subject matter experts to deliver high-quality training for public servants, noting that discussions were already ongoing with another architectural expert.

Mr. Adio-Moses added that both experts could work together to achieve optimal results.

The Director-General also briefed the guest on key PSSDC initiatives, including the ongoing 9-month capacity building program for stagnated Local Government staff, the Centre’s LMS Studio for virtual training delivery, and the in-house recording studio for content development and training.

The transformation of Lagos did not happen by accident.

It happened because people showed up, learned, adapted, and served with intention across decades.

Because infrastructure can be built overnight, but the human capacity to sustain it? That takes consistent, deliberate investment.

And PSSDC Magodo is proud to be part of building the people behind the progress. Public servants who choose excellence over mediocrity.
