Nicola McCormick -Community Board- Waimairi

Nicola McCormick -Community Board- Waimairi I want to be a voice for residents. I have been actively involved in the community for many years and live in Avonhead with my husband and three children.

The area is changing, so ensuring good communication and transparency between the Council and community is paramount. I come from a teaching background but have an enthusiasm for local issues. I will work hard for our community.

With the number of car break ins recently, one thing we can do to help is volunteer ( might be once a month) for the Christchurch North Community Patrol. They need more volunteers to be driving around our streets to help be on the look out for any suspicious activity. It is a deterrent so the more people that volunteer, the better.

This is exciting. Not quite in the Waimairi ward, but close! New shops at Bush Inn!
