50/50 for Christchurch lifesaver

Christchurch donor Martin celebrated his 50th birthday in style by giving his 50th donation with NZBlood. Rā whānau ki a koe! Many thanks for sharing your special day with us and for your lifesaving donations.

Blood and plasma donation is a family tradition, with both mum and dad donors as well. Martin started donating blood while he was still in high school has continued donating plasma whenever time permits.

Happy birthday and thanks again Martin, you’re a lifesaver.

Pedal powered to 100 donations.

We’re proud to celebrate Allan, who has recently reached an amazing milestone - 100 lifesaving donations with NZBlood!

Allan began donating at university doing whole blood. Now a plasma donor and keen cyclist, he cycles to the donor to donate and enjoy chatting with the staff before biking off to work. Talk about healthy!

Allan, thank you for your continued support, your generosity, and for inspiring others through your actions. Reaching 100 donations is no small feat, and we’re so grateful to have you as part of our donor community.

Like a lot of Daughters, Elre proved she’s got her dad wrapped around her little finger. New donor and Dad Andre couldn’t say no when Elre suggested they attend a bloody important appointment together during National Blood Donor Week.
