Kaikoura Aquatic Centre Whether you're swimming laps in our 25m pool, watching the whānau or splashing around in the toddler pool – we've got fun for everyone!

All heated and ready for you. Come for the water, stay for the fun with our friendly team. The place to be this summer! The Kaikōura Aquatic has been built by the community following the loss of the old pool in the November 2016 earthquake. (Now set for demolition and a heated spa complex proposed as at nov 2021

The Kaikoura Community Charitable Trust was developed by 7 locals to see a new Commun

ity pool was built. (This is not a council owned facility) The new pool has been rebranded as Kaikōura Aquatic centre. Opening date is 14th November 2021 located up off Scarborough Terrace on a new street called “Wa KauKau terrace” over looking the amazing South Bay and with views towards the Kaikōura ranges. After extensive fundraising and donations from many sources. The community now has a debt free facility. It is still proposed to add Stage 2. “Put a roof on it” but this may be a few years away.

To our weather warriors and early morning regulars, the ones who showed up at 6am or dove in while the rain was falling. You are a special kind of committed, and we love you for it.

From the moment you joined the team, you found your feet straight away and quickly became an incredible part of our crew. Your eagerness to learn, professionalism, and genuine care for our customers has not gone unnoticed, it’s been felt right across the pool.

If you’ve been missing something, now’s your moment, come and claim your long-lost treasures before they get adopted, donated, or start their own swim squad.

No judgement…we’ve all done the walk of ‘oh no, I’ve forgotten something’ 🤪
