Here is a reminder as we have had at least 2 call outs this winter due to hot ashes from fire places this winter.
> Please put your ashes in a metal bucket.
> Wet them down with your hose.
> Store in a safe area for a week before disposal.
This cottage fire could have been so much worse for the property owner had it not been discovered early.

Last weekend we completed our level 2 lines re evaluation. A big thank you to the trainers from timaru who came up for it. It is very important we have this capability to perform line rescue with the steep terrain we have in our area.
