There's quite a bit going on around Rangiora at the moment with several major projects about to get underway.
One of them affects your access to Rangiora Library 📚
Here are the details ⬇️
1️⃣ Percival Street: new water main in Percival Street, between Queen and Alfred Streets, to replace the existing supply main which has reached its end of life.
📅The work is planned to commence from 27 July and is expected to last around one month.
❗The northbound lane will be closed and no parking between Queen and Albert streets. Access to the Council car park from the southbound lane only.

📅 Starting on site from 27 July 2026. Work is due to be completed in November.
❗Blackett Street will be closed on the eastbound lane from King Street to Ashley Street for up to three months. Good Street and Durham Street will remain open until the work needs to cross these intersections.
🛍️Local access to businesses, the Blake Street car park, New World, and other nearby services will remain available via the Good Street roundabout and the Durham Street/Blackett Street intersection.

3️⃣Demolition 13 Blake Street: demolishing the Council-owned building at 13 Blake Street to allow for the creation of additional car parking in the High Street retail precinct.
📅The demolition is expected to start 3 August and is expected to take approximately three to four weeks to complete.
❗Some carpark areas near the demolition works will be fenced off to allow the works to be done safely. Please follow the onsite signage as alternative access routes to some areas of the carpark (e.g. behind the Post Office) will be required for short periods.
