A BIG thank you to all our Wellby Talking Cafe hosts who welcome our community each month to join in for a cuppa and conversation. Tapawera had their cafe yesterday and the next one to look out for is MOTUEKA. At the Wellby Talking Cafes, Motueka Library. 17 June, 10-11.30. Wellby Talking Cafes take place across Nelson Tasman including Nelson, Richmond, Motueka, Takaka and Tapawera.
👉New Schedule from June Onwards (with date changes)
👉From June, there will no longer be a Halifax cafe and the Cafes in Richmond and Stoke will change to the 4th Wednesday of the month.
✏️Please check the Wellby page or the wellby website - www.wellby.org.nz for updates on the monthly cafes.
The cafes are a wonderful opportunity to connect with other people in your community over a cuppa and find out about what is happening in your local area. Our cafe hosts can also talk you through the Found Directory, which is an online directory of community service groups at www.found.org.nz but also available in paper or large font format

🥳What a lovely get together at today's Wellby Talking Cafe in Richmond! Great to see familiar faces and meet some new visitors.
Tapawera also held its monthly cafe today - Tapawera wellby talking cafes will continue at St. Peter's Anglican Church on the 2nd Tuesday of the month (10-11.30am)

📣Today we announced that the Richmond Wellby Talking Cafes will move to the 4th Wednesday of the month from June (same time of 1.30-3pm).
📌Please note that 24 June, 26 August, 23 September and 25 November cafes will take place in the Richmond Library's Constance Barnicoat Room (right hand side of main entrance).
📌 But 22 July and 28 October cafes will take place at Age Concern (corner of Cambridge and Oxford Streets in close proximity to the library). Thank you Age Concern Nelson Tasman for sharing your space and continuing to partner with Volunteer Nelson on this fantastic initiative. Today, it was wonderful to chat again to visitors who have been coming to the cafe since it started! You are truly a friendly bunch. 😍 Look out for more news here on facebook or on wellby.org.nz

Kia ora koutou! 💛

We’ve got two Wellby Talking Cafés coming up next week — Tuesday 12 May — in Tapawera and Richmond. We’d love to see you there for a cuppa and a chat ☕✨

👉 Tapawera Talking Café
📍 St Peter’s Anglican Church
🕙 10.00am – 11.30am
Held on the 2nd Tuesday of every month

👉 Richmond Talking Café
📍 Richmond Library
This will be our last Tuesday café before we move to a new day from June.

📣 Changes from June:
Both the Richmond and McCashins Talking Cafés will move to the 4th Wednesday of the month.
• Wednesday Richmond cafés will continue at Richmond Library, except for July and October (venues to be confirmed next week).
• Wednesday McCashins cafés will stay at the same time: 🕚 11.00am – 12.30pm.
Anyone already meeting on Tuesdays is welcome to continue and meet up with the friends you have made, with the official Wellby Café starting fresh on the 4th Wednesdays from June 😊 You are welcome to join both!

Our Motueka Cafe for May is on the 20th May 10-11.30am at the Motueka Library and Nelson's Halifax Cafe will be held for the last time on 27 May from 1.30-3pm.

Volunteer Nelson has made some changes to the Wellby Talking Cafes which take place across Nelson Tasman including Nelson, Richmond, Motueka, Takaka and Tapawera.
👉Our May schedule remains the same, but there will no longer be a Tahunanui cafe.
👉From June, there will no longer be a Halifax cafe and the Cafes in Richmond and Stoke will change to the 4th Wednesday of the month.

The Wellby Talking Cafe at Halifax Cafe is on next week Wednesday 22 April and again on 27 May from 1.30pm-3pm. We look forward to seeing you there! From June 2026 the Wellby Cafe will no longer run at Halifax Cafe and we are grateful to the owners, Konica and her husband, for helping us host many previous cafes there!
