✨ Mānawatia a Matariki ✨

Kia ora Wānaka Toy Library whānau,

We will be open tomorrow, Friday 10th July, for our usual hours.

Matariki is a special time in Aotearoa to gather with whānau, reflect, reset, and enjoy time together, and what better way for our tamariki to celebrate than with fresh toys, puzzles, games, and a little playroom magic for the long weekend. 🌟🧸

Pop in, swap your toys, and stock up on some fun for the holiday.

🔍 Toy Piece Treasure Hunt! 🧩🚗🛋️

We’re asking all Wānaka Toy Library members to have a quick look under couches, car seats, beds and in toy boxes for any missing pieces that may have wandered off on an adventure.

We’re looking for pieces from:

🧩 Puzzles
🧱 Duplo sets
🏡 Imaginative play sets
🎲 Games and activity sets and anything else that maybe taking a break under the couch 😁

Even the smallest piece can make a big difference in completing a set for the next family to enjoy.

Any lost pieces can be returned to the Wanaka Toy Library during opening hours.

Thanks for helping us reunite our toys with their missing friends! 💛

📣 Wanaka Toy Library is on the hunt for a new home! 🧸

After more than 5 wonderful years based in the Wool Shed at the Showgrounds, we are beginning the journey of finding a new premises for our much-loved toy library.

As the A & P Show continues to grow and expand, they now require more storage space, meaning we have moved into a smaller area within the Wool Shed.

We want to take this opportunity to acknowledge and sincerely thank the A & P Show for their incredible support over the years. Without them, Wanaka Toy Library would not be where it is today, and we are hugely grateful to have called the Showgrounds home for so long. 💛

There is no immediate rush — we are simply starting the search early, knowing that finding the right space may take time.

🏡 What we are looking for:
• Minimum 80sqm space
• Power and internet access
• Toilet facilities
• Parking available
• A safe area for parents to load and unload children and toys

We are also open to a garage or shipping container setup if there is suitable land available.

We’re back open at the Toy Library from Friday, 27 March after our closure for the A&P Show.
Thank you so much for your patience while we were closed. We’re looking forward to welcoming you all back and seeing lots of happy little faces through the doors again.
