To the employers who stand behind our volunteer firefighters—thank you.
When the call comes in, your employees don’t hesitate. They leave meetings, job sites, and daily responsibilities to serve their communities in moments of urgency. And behind that selfless act is your understanding, flexibility, and support.
Your support doesn’t go unnoticed. It makes a real, lasting difference.
Thank you for being an essential part of the team.

Wednesday will be hot and windy in parts of inland Otago, which will push up the fire risk. Please don't light any outdoor fires on Wednesday, even if where you live is not already covered by a total fire ban.

There's never any need to guess whether it's OK to light a fire - just go to www.checkitsalright.nz and type in your location.
