On ๐๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ฒ ๐๐, ๐๐๐๐, the ๐๐ง๐ข๐ฏ๐๐ซ๐ฌ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐จ๐ ๐๐๐ ๐ฎ๐ข๐จ (๐๐) ๐๐ข๐๐ซ๐๐ซ๐ฒ ๐๐จ๐ง๐๐ฎ๐๐ญ๐๐ ๐ ๐๐๐ง๐๐ก๐ฆ๐๐ซ๐ค๐ข๐ง๐ ๐ฏ๐ข๐ฌ๐ข๐ญ to the ๐๐ ๐๐ ๐๐๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ ๐๐ง๐ข๐ฏ๐๐ซ๐ฌ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ (๐๐๐๐) ๐๐ข๐๐ซ๐๐ซ๐ข๐๐ฌ to explore innovative library facilities, learning spaces, and best practices that can be adapted to enhance UB Library services.
Representing UB Library were ๐๐ฌ. ๐๐๐ง๐ง๐๐ญ๐ก ๐. ๐๐๐ ๐ and ๐๐ฌ. ๐๐ก๐๐ข๐ฅ๐ ๐๐ฒ๐ง ๐๐๐ฅ๐ ๐๐ซ๐ฎ๐ณ, who visited DLSUโs collaborative study areas, flexible learning spaces, technology-enabled facilities, and makerspaces. The visit was facilitated by ๐๐ฌ. ๐๐๐ซ๐ข๐๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ ๐๐จ๐ซ๐๐๐จ, Community Engagement Librarian of DLSU Libraries, who shared insights on developing learner-centered library environments.
The benchmarking activity provided valuable ideas for improving library facilities, strengthening user experience, and supporting innovation in academic library services. It also contributed to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education through enhanced learning environments, SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure through technology-driven library development, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals through collaboration and knowledge sharing among academic institutions.
