WALANG GUTOM PROGRAM 2027
Food Redemption – Month 9 | September 22, 2026

As part of the continuing implementation of the Walang Gutom Program 2027, a total of ninety-five (95) beneficiaries from the Municipality of Carrascal successfully redeemed fresh and nutritious food commodities worth β‚±3,000.00 through the program’s National Retailer, Aviva Tasman, during the Month 8 Food Redemption Activity held on September 22, 2026, at the Carrascal Sports and Cultural Center.

Through this initiative, beneficiary households are provided with greater access to nutritious food while being supported in meeting their daily nutritional needs. The program also strengthens efforts toward food security and encourages families to make healthier food choices, helping build healthier and more resilient communities.

The Local Government Unit of Carrascal conducted its regular Monday Program, featuring office reports, important updates, and discussions that reflect the continuing commitment of the LGU to transparent governance, effective coordination, and quality public service.
The program was hosted by the Municipal Treasurer’s Office and featured updates presented by 𝑴𝒓𝒔. π‘³π’Šπ’π’Šπ’‚π’ 𝑫. π‘­π’“π’Šπ’‚π’”, π‘΄π’–π’π’Šπ’„π’Šπ’‘π’‚π’ 𝑻𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒔𝒖𝒓𝒆𝒓, who shared relevant reports and matters concerning the operations and activities of their office.

Following this, 𝑴𝒓. 𝑱𝒂𝒅𝒆 𝑷𝒆𝒃𝒐𝒋𝒐𝒕, π‘¨π’”π’”π’Šπ’”π’•π’‚π’π’• π‘΄π’–π’π’Šπ’„π’Šπ’‘π’‚π’ 𝑻𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒔𝒖𝒓𝒆𝒓, introduced the work nature, responsibilities, and updates of the Joint Inspection Team workforce, highlighting their duties and contributions in carrying out their assigned functions.

Additionally, 𝑴𝒓. 𝑨𝒍𝒍𝒂𝒏 𝑹𝒆𝒔𝒖𝒍𝒂𝒓 𝒐𝒇 π‘ͺ𝑢𝑴𝑬𝑳𝑬π‘ͺ π‘ͺ𝒂𝒓𝒓𝒂𝒔𝒄𝒂𝒍 provided updates and important information regarding the preparations and activities for the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) 2026.

She encouraged everyone to ensure the proper submission and processing of documents to facilitate smoother transactions and efficient handling of office matters. She also provided updates regarding the implementation of the QR Code Attendance System, emphasizing the importance of compliance and proper monitoring of attendance records.

BANANA CHIPS MAKING TRAINING | SEPTEMBER 18, 2026

A Livelihood Skills Training for PWD Members & Their Families

The Local Government Unit of Carrascal, through the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO), conducted a Banana Chips Making Livelihood Skills Training for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) and their families on September 18, 2026, at Mount Carmel Seminar House, Baybay, Carrascal, Surigao del Sur.

This training aims to provide additional sources of income, develop practical livelihood skills, and create potential opportunities for PWD members and their families to start or expand a small-scale livelihood venture. At the end of the training, each of the 25 PWD participants received a starter kit to help them apply the skills and knowledge they gained during the training. Through this initiative, participants are empowered to enhance their skills, explore income-generating opportunities, and work toward greater self-reliance and financial stability.

We extend our deepest gratitude to our dedicated Municipal Mayor, Hon. Joseph L. Urgel, for his unwavering commitment and support for programs that uplift and empower Persons with Disabilities (PWDs).
We also extend our heartfelt appreciation to Ma’am Beatriz M. Acquiatan, Community-Based Trainer of TESDA Surigao del Sur, for generously sharing her knowledge and expertise, which contributed greatly to the success of this training and to creating meaningful livelihood opportunities for PWDs and their families.

Nakuha nina Princess Catindig, Noelle Manalac, Christy Sanosa, Shyryn Salazar at Hilary Paas ang buena manong medalya ng Pilipinas sa 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games.

Umabot sa semifinals ang Women's Team ngunit nabigo kontra Japan 0-2 para selyuhan ang kauna-unahang Asian Games Soft Tennis medal ng bansa since joining the event in 1994.
