With immense joy and pride, we celebrate the successful launch of the Madridejos Senior Citizens Center on May 29, 2026—a significant milestone that reflects our collective commitment to honoring, caring for, and empowering our beloved senior citizens.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Governor Pamela Baricuatro for her unwavering dedication to advancing programs and services that promote the welfare and well-being of older persons.

Our sincere appreciation also goes to Mayor Engr. Romeo Villaceran, Congressman Sun “Shin” Shimura, Board Member Kerrie Shimura, Board Member Lakambini Reluya, Board Member Atty. Nelson Mondigo, Vice Mayor Vyvs Villacrucis, First Lady Violy Villaceran, all Municipal and Provincial Officials, and our partner national government agencies—DOH, NTC, PhilHealth, DepDev, PSA, DOLE, and TESDA—for their invaluable support and shared vision in making this initiative a reality.

NCSC - Region VII extends its heartfelt gratitude to the PSA Regional Statistical Services Office VII (RSSO VII) and the PSA Cebu Provincial Statistical Office for their participation during the launching of the Madridejos Senior Citizens Center on May 29, 2026.

Thank you for your assistance in providing National ID services, including registration, issuance of ePhilIDs, and support for the Digital National ID. These services have brought convenience and dignity to our beloved senior citizens, especially to the elderly residents of Bantayan Island.

We also express our appreciation to OIC Regional Director Wilma A. Perante for her message of support and commitment to sustaining programs that benefit the senior citizens sector. Your dedication to bringing government services closer to the people, particularly to our older persons, truly reflects care and public service.

With great joy and pride, we witnessed the launch of the Madridejos Senior Citizens Center—a testament to the care, recognition, and appreciation of the role of our senior citizens in society.

Our thanks to Governor Pamela Baricuatro for your commitment to the welfare of our elderly.

We also express our gratitude to Madridejos Municipality Mayor Engr. Romeo Villaceran, Congressman Sun “Shin” Shimura, Board Kerrie Shimura, Board Lakambini Reluya, Board Atty. NCSC - Region VII extends its heartfelt gratitude to PhilHealth Region VII for their support and service during the launching of the Madridejos Senior Citizens Center and the Caravan of Services on May 29, 2026.

Under the leadership of Acting Regional Vice President Jenet Ann Advincula and the Local Health Insurance Office Danao headed by Chief Social Insurance Officer Ruhneb Cabiara, PhilHealth provided assistance to senior citizens through the YAKAP Caravan.

Approximately 350 senior citizens benefited from essential services, including onsite registration, membership record updates, ID card printing, and assistance in selecting their YAKAP Clinic.

Their participation improved access to healthcare services for our beloved senior citizens.

The First Patient Encounter in partnership with the Madridejos Rural Health Unit provided an opportunity for beneficiaries to begin their healthcare journey and preventive care immediately.

Thank you, PhilHealth Region VII, for your commitment to bringing healthcare services closer to our senior citizens in Bantayan Island.

Uban sa dakong kalipay ug pasidungog, among nasaksihan ang pag-launch sa Madridejos Senior Citizens Center, usa ka testamento sa pag-atiman ug pag-ila sa papel sa atong mga senior citizens.

Salamat kaayo Mayor Engr. Romeo A. Villaceran sa inyong panan-awon ug gugma sa mga katigulangan. Salamat usab sa inyong walay kakapoy nga suporta, Governor Pam Baricuatro, Congressman Sun “Shin” Shimura, Board Member Kerrie Shimura, Board Member Lakambini Reluya, Board Member Atty. Nelson Mondigo, Vice Mayor Vyvs Villacrucis, first lady Violy Villaceran, sa tanang Municipal ug Provincial officials (PHO ug PSWDO), ug sa partner national agencies (DOH, DSWD, NTC, PSA, PhilHealth, DepDev, DOLE, TESDA).

Kini nga Senior Citizens Center usa ka balay nga naghatag og dignidad, kalipay, ug paglaum sa matag usa ka senior. Kini nagpamatuod nga ang atong mga katiguwangan dili malimtan, ug gipasidunggan ug gitagad pag-ayo.

Padayon kamo sa inyong maayong serbisyo!

DYRF Radio Fuerza, together with staff member Nonoy Parcon and interns from Cebu Normal University, paid a courtesy visit to the office of NCSC Region VII to gain a deeper understanding of the agency’s ongoing programs and initiatives for senior citizens.

During the visit, discussions focused on important concerns affecting the elderly sector, including clarifications on the Universal Social Pension, the utilization of digital IDs for senior citizens, and practical advice to help older persons stay safe and healthy amid the ongoing El Niño situation affecting the country.

The visit served as a meaningful opportunity to strengthen awareness and promote accurate information dissemination regarding programs that support and protect the welfare of Filipino senior citizens.
