The City Government of Vigan, Sangguniang Panlungsod Office welcomed the delegation from the Municipality of Iguig, Cagayan at the SP Session Hall. The visit provided a platform to exchange best practices in local lawmaking, secretariat operations, and legislative administration.

Nestor Pajaro, the City Social Welfare and Development Office, led by Ms. Maribelle Artienda, officially turned over livelihood assistance grants to five local beneficiaries. This direct support equips our small business owners with the essential capital needed to grow their enterprises, securing a sustainable income and a brighter future for their households.

Headed by Mayor Randolf "Randy" Singson, Hon. Ignacio "Nacy" Tadeo (City Councilor), Hon. Jay Andia (City Councilor), Hon. Karen Baquiran (City Councilor), and City Events, Promotion and Protocol Office led by Ms. Jo-Anne Gutierrez joined barangay captains, school heads, and local organization leaders at the Vigan Culture and Trade Center for the general planning meeting of the 2026 World Heritage Cities Solidarity Cultural and Tourism Week. The session focused on coordinating community-wide activities to honor Vigan’s culture, showcase local talent, and strengthen city tourism.

Led by Mayor Randolf "Randy" Singson, along with Hon. Ignacio "Nacy" Tadeo (City Councilor), Hon. Larry Raboy (City Councilor), Hon. Jay Andia (City Councilor), and Hon. Karen Baquiran (City Councilor), and with the efforts of the City Social Welfare and Development Office led by Ms. Maribelle Artienda, the ceremonial cash gift distribution for local octogenarians, nonagenarians, and centenarians was held at the Vigan Culture and Trade Center. This financial incentive celebrates our senior citizens' longevity and honors their valuable contributions to our city’s story and heritage.

The City Government of Vigan reminds the public and all Barangays to verify proper authorization and coordination before participating in or facilitating any medical mission or health-related activity within the City.

This advisory follows information received from the FDA regarding AlkaJen Healthcare. The City Government clarifies that AlkaJen Healthcare has not coordinated with nor been authorized by the City Government of Vigan to conduct such activities within the City.

Please exercise caution and verify compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
