𝐒𝐄𝐄𝐃𝐒 𝐎𝐅 𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐍𝐆𝐄: 𝐆𝐑𝐎𝐖𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐀 𝐆𝐑𝐄𝐄𝐍𝐄𝐑 𝐃𝐈𝐆𝐎𝐒

The Local Youth Development Office (LYDO), led by 𝑹𝒂𝒇𝒂𝒆𝒍 𝑰𝑰𝑰 𝑹. 𝑴𝒆𝒅𝒊𝒐𝒅𝒊𝒂 𝑳𝑷𝑻,𝑴𝑻𝑬, took part in the Weekly Tree Planting Activity held on 𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝟏𝟓, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, at 𝐏𝐮𝐫𝐨𝐤 𝐀𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐮𝐦, 𝐑𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞, 𝐁𝐫𝐠𝐲. 𝐓𝐢𝐠𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧, 𝐃𝐢𝐠𝐨𝐬 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲. The activity brought together government offices, partners, and community members in a shared effort to promote environmental responsibility and strengthen the community involvement.

The initiative was led by City Mayor 𝑯𝒐𝒏. 𝑱𝒐𝒔𝒆𝒇 𝑭𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒊𝒄𝒉 𝑪𝒂𝒈𝒂𝒔, together with the City Councilor 𝑯𝒐𝒏. 𝑳𝒊𝒛𝒂 𝑴. 𝑪𝒂𝒈𝒂𝒔, City Administrator 𝑹𝒆𝒙 𝑭𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒊𝒄𝒉 𝑪𝒂𝒈𝒂𝒔, and City Greening Head 𝑨𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒏 𝑪𝒉𝒓𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒚 𝑴𝒆𝒍𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒓𝒆𝒛, whose continued efforts and support help sustain the environmental initiatives across Digos City. Their leaderships reflects the importance of collective action in protecting natural resources and creating communities that are more prepared for environmental challenges.

For LYDO, every seedling planted is a reminder that meaningful change starts with participation. This activity is also an opportunity to encourage the youth to practice volunteerism, active citizenship, and environmental stewardship.
