Di**le Fire Station Shift A personnel led by SFO4 John Paul D Ituriaga, participated in the National Simultaneous School Safety Drill held at Rufino G. Palabrica Sr. National High School, Barangay San Matias, Di**le, Iloilo, on 03 September 2026.

A simulation exercise was conducted to assess and test the effectiveness, preparedness, and efficiency of the school and first responders in managing and responding to emergency situations.
The activity provided an opportunity to strengthen coordination, communication, and interoperability among the school administration, Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Philippine National Police (PNP), Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), Barangay Officials, and other concerned stakeholders.

Through this exercise, participants were able to identify areas for improvement and enhance their preparedness and response capabilities for similar emergencies. Continuous drills and inter-agency coordination are essential in ensuring a swift, organized, and effective response, ultimately helping protect the lives and safety of students, teachers, personnel, and the community.

Di**le Fire Station Shift A duty personnel, under the leadership of SFO4 John Paul D Ituriaga, Acting Municipal Fire Marshal, participated in the Flag Raising Ceremony at Calicuang Elementary School, Brgy. Calicuang, Di**le, Iloilo, on 01 September 2026.

Following the ceremony, the team conducted a Fire Safety Lecture and Bumbero on the Road, KKB (Kaisa Ka Ba?) in line with the Oplan Ligtas na Paaralan (Safe Schools Initiative Program) for the students, teachers, and school personnel. The activity highlighted essential fire prevention measures, emergency preparedness, and the proper response during fire incidents to enhance the participants' awareness and readiness in times of emergencies.

Through interactive discussions and the dissemination of fire safety information, the activity aimed to promote a culture of preparedness, strengthen the school's resilience against fire emergencies, and encourage the active participation of the entire school community in maintaining a safe and secure learning environment.
