PhilHealth covers preventive oral health care under the Yaman ng Kalusugan Program (YAKAP) up to ₱1,000 per member/dependent annually for the following preventive dental care:

*Oral Examination & Screening
*Oral Prophylaxis (Dental Cleaning)
*Fluoride Varnish Application
*Pit & Fissure Sealants
*Emergency Tooth Extraction

Note: Services at public health centers/YAKAP clinics are completely free. Accredited private dental providers may charge capped co-payments. Cosmetic procedures, root canals, non-emergency extractions and dentures are excluded.

**How to Avail of the Package**

1. **Verify Membership:** Ensure active PhilHealth contributions via the PhilHealth Member Portal or eGovPH app.
2. **Register with a YAKAP Provider:** Register at your local accredited Rural Health Unit (RHU), public health clinic or YAKAP facility.
3. **Get a Referral:** If your assigned YAKAP clinic does not have an on-site dentist, request a referral to an accredited stand-alone primary care dental clinic.
4. **Present PhilHealth ID:** Bring your PhilHealth ID or Member Data Record (MDR) to your appointment.

DOH CHD XII RLED Conducts Regulatory Compliance Inspection at Calumpang RHU and Birthing Home

Yesterday, August 21, 2026, the Department of Health – Center for Health Development SOCCSKSARGEN (DOH CHD XII), through its Regulatory, Licensing, and Enforcement Division (RLED), conducted a thorough regulatory compliance inspection of Calumpang Rural Health Unit (RHU) and Birthing Home as part of the assessment for compliance with Primary Care Facility standards.

The inspection focused on assessing the facility’s readiness and compliance in providing safe, accessible, and quality healthcare services to the community. The evaluation included the inspection of the facility and infrastructure, review of essential documents and records, assessment of services and processes, and engagement with the RHU and Birthing Home staff.

We extend our sincere appreciation to the DOH CHD XII RLED evaluation team—Farida Lumapinit, RM, MPA; Ronald James Magan, RMT; Neil Batislaong, RN; Chrysler Taclin, RMT; and Julia Rose Diomampo, RLA—for their time, guidance, thorough assessment, and valuable recommendations.

The inspection provided Calumpang RHU and Birthing Home with an opportunity to recognize areas of good practice while identifying areas for further improvement. The guidance and feedback from the RLED team will help us continuously strengthen our systems, improve our services, and uphold the standards required to ensure patient safety and quality healthcare delivery.

This activity reflects the commitment of both the DOH CHD XII and Calumpang RHU and Birthing Home to continuously improve healthcare services and provide the community with a safe, reliable, and patient-centered primary care facility.

Purok Active Case Finding 💙🫁
Purok New Bohol, Brgy. Calumpang

Another meaningful day of bringing TB awareness, screening, and health services closer to our community! 💙

The Calumpang RHU TB-DOTS Team successfully conducted Purok Active Case Finding, Information Dissemination, and Awareness Campaign on Tuberculosis at Purok New Bohol, Barangay Calumpang, as part of Project TABO – Tuberculosis Awareness and Breaking Obstacles (Stigma).

Project TABO aims to promote greater understanding of tuberculosis, address misconceptions and stigma surrounding TB, encourage early consultation and testing, and empower individuals and families to seek care without fear or discrimination. Through community-based activities like this, we continue to break the barriers of stigma and create a more supportive TB-free community.

Our heartfelt gratitude goes to the Barangay Council of Calumpang, headed by Barangay Captain Hon. Arthur Ryan Dupalco, for the continued support and commitment to protecting the health of our community.

We also extend our appreciation to Purok Chairman Rosendo Roche and our dedicated Barangay Health Workers (BHWs) for helping mobilize and engage our residents.
