Strengthening SARCO Cooperative Through Capacity Building

The Department of Agrarian Reform DAR Sultan Kudarat Provincial Office conducted a training entitled “Review and Enhancement of Policies, Systems, and Procedures at SARCO Cooperative, Sampao, Isulan, Sultan Kudarat.

The activity aims to enhance the knowledge and understanding of SARCO Cooperative members on effective policies, systems, and procedures, contributing to stronger and more efficient cooperative operations.

DARMO Isulan, led by MARPO Ida R. Fregillana,paid courtesy call to the barangay officials before proceeding to conduct the Barangay Agrarian Reform Committee (BARC) Reorganization in Barangay Laguilayan, Isulan, Sultan Kudarat.

The activity aimed to strengthen the capacity of the BARC members by enhancing their knowledge and understanding of agrarian laws, land dispute , and other Department of Agrarian Reform, related conflicts within in barangay. Through this activity, the BARC members are better equipped to assist Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries in addressing agrarian issues at the barangay level.

Personnel from the DAR Provincial Office, with the assistance of DARMO Isulan personnel, conducted the continuation of the training on the Reportorial Guidelines for New Cooperatives and the Understanding and Application of the Cooperative Constitution and By-Laws at the Dlotilla Farmers Agriculture Cooperative. (DFARAC).

The training aimed to equip Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs) with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively manage their cooperative and gain a better understanding of the proper implementation of cooperative policies, governance, and operations.

Pre-Implementation Meeting of the SARCO Cooperative for the Sustainable Livelihood Support for Disaster-Affected Areas under the Climate-Resilient Farm Productive Support Program, conducted by the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) Provincial Office personnel, with the assistance of the DAR Municipal Office (DARMO) Isulan personnel.

A land dispute was successfully mediated at the DARMO Isulan Office, led by MARPO Ida R. Fregillana and assisted by Mr. Eddie M. Ponce. Through dialogue and facilitation, both parties reached an amicable settlement and voluntarily signed a written agreement, resulting in the peaceful resolution of the conflict and preventing further disputes.

Even during holidays, we continue to serve because our commitment to our Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries knows no boundaries.

On June 16, 2026, DAR SK and DARMO personnel conducted the second day of training on the Reportorial Guidelines for New Cooperatives and the Understanding and Application of the Cooperative Constitution and By-Laws at KUMAKASA Cooperative and SARCO Cooperative at Sampao, Isulan SK.

The training aims to strengthen the knowledge and capabilities of cooperative members in complying with reportorial requirements and effectively applying their cooperative constitution and by-laws, thereby promoting good governance, accountability, and sustainable cooperative management.
