Community Engagement and Barangay Visitation

At around 2:00 PM onwards of September 29, 2026 Police Station 4 personnel Pat Sandrio C Melencion Asst. CAD PNCO under the supervision of PMAJ BONIFACIO M PAREJA Acting Station Commander, PS4 conducted community engagement through barangay visitation and drug watchlist monitoring in coordination with the BADAC Focal Person of Barangay Basak Secretary Ms. Imelda Alabastro, to strengthen collaboration with the Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Council (BADAC).
The BADAC Focal Person provided relevant information to aid in validating entries in the watch list and ensuring accurate documentation. PS4 personnel also engaged with community members to enhance police presence, encourage public cooperation, and support implementation of Anti-Criminality, crime prevention with the support of PNP, and also, discuss campaign against terrorism in relation to NTF-ELCAC, and also to support the Drug Reduction Program and other relevant matters issues, supporting the PNP's ongoing campaign against illegal drugs.

Community Engagement Strengthening Police-Barangay Partnership through BPOC Meeting

On September 29, 2026, at about 10:00 AM onwards, personnel of Police Station 4 Pat Melencion asst. CAD PNCO under supervision of PMAJ BONIFACIO M PAREJA Acting Station Commander, participated in the Barangay Peace and Order Council (BPOC) Meeting held at Barangay Marigondon, Lapu-Lapu City.

The activity was conducted to strengthen coordination and collaboration between the Philippine National Police and the barangay officials in maintaining peace, order, and public safety within the community. During the meeting, relevant peace and order concerns, crime prevention initiatives, community safety measures, and other matters affecting the security and welfare of the residents were discussed.

The participation of PS4 personnel demonstrated the commitment of the police station to sustain active engagement with local government officials and community stakeholders. It also provided an avenue for the exchange of information, identification of emerging concerns, and formulation of appropriate measures to address peace and order issues within the barangay.

The activity concluded with strengthened partnership and coordination between PS4 personnel and the Barangay Marigondon BPOC, supporting the continued implementation of community-based peace and order initiatives in the area.

LCPO’s STATEMENT ON HIT AND RUN INCIDENT

The Lapu-Lapu City Police Office (LCPO) condemns the hit-and-run incident that occurred along M.L. Quezon National Highway, Sitio Masiwa, Barangay Marigondon, Lapu-Lapu City, on September 27, 2026, which resulted in injuries to three pedestrians.

Based on the initial investigation, the vehicle involved was Mitsubishi Montero color gray/silver, bearing plate number NDB 5491. The vehicle reportedly fled the scene without stopping to check on or render assistance to the injured victims, who were immediately brought to the hospital for medical attention.

The LCPO is conducting a thorough investigation to establish the circumstances of the incident and determine the identity and whereabouts of the driver involved. The LCPO is also coordinating with the Land Transportation Office (LTO) to verify the vehicle’s registration details and establish the identity of its registered owner and driver.

We appeal to the public, particularly those who may have witnessed the incident or have information that could help identify the driver or locate the vehicle, to coordinate with the LCPO and provide relevant information to the investigating authorities.

The LCPO assures the public that all available leads are being pursued and that appropriate action will be taken in accordance with existing laws and procedures.

We also remind all motorists to exercise utmost caution and responsibility on the road, especially when involved in a traffic incident, and to immediately provide assistance and report the matter to the proper authorities.

Community Engagement "Building Bridges of Trust: PS4 Engaged Muslim Community Leaders and Members"

As part of the Philippine National Police's continuing commitment to strengthen community partnership and promote peace, personnel of Police Station 4 conducted a Dialogue with our Muslim Brothers in Barangay Basak, Lapu-Lapu City, at 10:00 AM onwards on September 29, 2026.
The activity served as a venue to foster mutual understanding, strengthen police-community relations, and discuss peace and order concerns affecting the community. During the dialogue, encouraged the participants to remain vigilant, cooperate with law enforcement authorities, and immediately report any suspicious persons or activities that may threaten the safety and security of the community.
The dialogue also highlighted the importance of unity, religious respect, crime prevention, anti-illegal drugs advocacy, anti-terrorism awareness, and the shared responsibility of maintaining a peaceful and orderly environment. The participants expressed their appreciation for the PNP's continuous outreach efforts and reaffirmed their support for programs that promote public safety and community resilience.

Promoting Wellness: RMDU 7 Holds PNP Mental Health Program "Bantay Kaisipan" for PS4,LCPO Personnels.

On or about 08:00 AM of September 28,2026., The Regional Medical and Dental Unit 7 - RMDU 7 led by PMAJ RONALDO ROYCE C EVANGELISTA Chief Psychologist conducted the PNP Mental Health Program "Bantay Kaisipan" for all personnel of Police Station 4 held at Brgy. Suba-basbas Gym. The activity aimed to promote mental health awareness, stress management, and psychological well-being among PNP personnel. Through lectures, open forum, and stress debriefing, RMDU 7 provided guidance on coping mechanisms, early detection of mental health concerns, and proper referral pathways. This program highlights the importance of taking care of the mental health of our frontliners. Police work is high-stress and emotionally demanding. By addressing mental health proactively, we ensure that personnel remain physically fit, mentally resilient, and emotionally stable in performing their duties and in serving the community. The conduct of "Bantay Kaisipan" is in line with the PNP's commitment to uphold the welfare of its personnel. A healthy mind leads to better decision-making, improved police-community relations, and overall operational effectiveness. The activity ended successfully with active participation from PS4 personnel and strengthened their awareness on the importance of mental health in police service.
