Graduation Ceremony and Completion Program
The Loon Manpower Development Center successfully conducted the Graduation Ceremony for Driving NC II and the Completion Ceremony for the Community-Based Training in Bread and Pastry Making, with the theme โTransforming Lives through Skills and Opportunities,โ held at the Municipal Activity Center on December 18, 2025.
The LMDC Administrator, Ms. Maricris Maestrado, formally presented and certified the 125 candidates for graduation, that all have successfully complied with the requirements set by TESDA.
This milestone reflects the graduatesโ dedication and readiness to apply their newly acquired skills toward employment, entrepreneurship, and community development.
Ms. Marichu Cua, TESDA Specialist II, representing TESDA Bohol Provincial Director Dr. Floro Ringca, T.M., formally confirmed the graduates and delivered her heartfelt message of congratulations.
She commended the graduates for successfully acquiring new skills that will open doors to entrepreneurial opportunities and employment. Ms. Cua emphasized that TESDA remains committed to providing continuous skills training and development, ensuring that communities are empowered through quality technical-vocational education.
She further reaffirmed TESDAโs dedication to supporting initiatives that uplift individuals and help build a stronger, more skilled community.
The guest speaker, Dr. Cesar Tomas โYulโ Lopez, delivered an inspiring message to all graduates. He emphasized that skills training and development are among the key visions of the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Loon for individuals who wish to enhance their competencies. He reiterated the LGUโs unwavering support for skills training programs in partnership with TESDA, highlighting their significant contribution to community development.
Dr. Lopez also stressed that acquiring technical-vocational skills opens doors to local and overseas employment, as employers actively seek TESDA graduates. A National Competency (NC) Certificate serves as proof of oneโs certified skills and readiness for employment, entrepreneurship, or self-employment. He emphasized that completing a four-year college course is not the only path to successโTESDA graduates with NC certificates have a competitive edge in the job market and business opportunities.
Kagawad Emerson โDondonโ Relampagos, representing Mayor Pedro M. Literatus, affirmed the full support of the LGU for skills training and development programs implemented through the Loon Manpower Development Center, recognizing their vital role in uplifting the community.
Vice Mayor Jorge โDonfonโ Marapao delivered the closing remarks, highlighting the importance of continuous skills development in strengthening the community. He also assured that the 16th Sangguniang Bayan will continue to support skills training and development initiatives in the Municipality of Loon.
