𝗛𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗬 𝗙𝗜𝗥𝗦𝗧 𝗢𝗙 𝗔𝗨𝗚𝗨𝗦𝗧!🇨🇭

Today marks the founding of the Swiss Confederation in 1291. Since 1891, the first of August has been celebrated as Swiss National Day. The date refers to a historic alliance concluded in 1291 by the three cantons of Uri, Schwyz and Unterwalden. This alliance was to become the focal point around which the Switzerland of today was built over the next 500 years.

The President of the Swiss Confederation Guy Parmelin gives a National Day 2026 greetings for the Swiss abroad👏🏼

𝗙𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘀🤝🇨🇭🇵🇭

💪🏼The Swiss Embassy recently held its annual team-building day, bringing colleagues together through collaborative activities, open dialogue, and shared learning.

🌏A highlight of the day was the 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽, which encouraged meaningful conversations on cultural diversity, communication styles, and the different perspectives that shape the way we work and connect with one another.

As a multicultural workplace, the Embassy believes that embracing diversity begins with listening, learning, and understanding. By creating a safe space for honest dialogue and mutual respect, we continue to strengthen our team and foster an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued, heard, and empowered to contribute.

Because our diversity is one of our greatest strengths. 👏🏼

Strengthening Swiss economic diplomacy through continuous learning is a pillar our trade relations.

The seminar brought together economic and trade officers and diplomats to deepen their understanding of Switzerland’s trade and investment promotion ecosystem. Participants gained insights into the country’s strengths as a business and innovation hub, the needs of Swiss export-oriented SMEs, and the role of the Swiss Business Hub Network in supporting companies abroad.

Through initiatives such as this, Switzerland continues to invest in strengthening its global economic network and enhancing its ability to promote trade, investment, and innovation. The knowledge and connections gained will further support the Embassy’s efforts to foster stronger economic ties and create new opportunities for Swiss–Philippine cooperation. 🇨🇭🤝🇵🇭
