PCWHS Officially Opens Science Month 2025 Celebration
The Pasay City West High School (PCWHS) formally launched its Science Month 2025 celebration today, September 08, 2025, at the school grounds, with a program that highlighted the importance of science, technology, and innovation in building a sustainable future.
With the theme “Siyensya, Teknolohiya, at Inobasyon: Kabalikat sa Matatag, Maginhawa, at Panatag na Kinabukasan,” the month-long celebration seeks to raise learners’ awareness of science’s role in shaping society while encouraging the responsible use of technology.
In his inspirational message, PCWHS Principal IV Mr. Agapito Teodoro N. Manaog underscored the responsibility of humanity to regulate technology rather than be controlled by it. He cautioned today’s generation against overreliance on artificial intelligence, reminding learners that technology should serve as a tool for productivity, not a master to obey.
Junior High School Assistant Principal II Mrs. Ena R. Tamayo also stressed the significance of the occasion, noting that science shapes human identity and progress. She remarked that It is important to know and understand science, and celebrations like this remind us of our obligation to work on and value it. Mrs. Rosa R. Alferez, Assistant Principal II of the SHS, together with the various department heads, graced the event.
Meanwhile, Mrs. Gina T. Villanueva, Head Teacher V of the Science Department, challenged learners to actively participate in the fun and engaging activities organized by the science faculty.
