Oplan Kalusugan sa DepEd is the convergence of the Department of Education's health programs, plans, policies, and activities for their effective and efficient implementation at the school level, in partnership with various stakeholders. OK sa DepEd shall focus on DepEd's major school health and nutrition programs specifically

JUNE IS NATIONAL NO SMOKING MONTH

The Department of Education joins in the observance of June as the National No Smoking Month, pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 183, s. 1993

Smoking and va**ng remains a significant threat to public health, affecting not only those who smoke or v**e but also those exposed to secondhand smoke and v**e.

Throughout the year, to***co and v**e control measures are in place in DepEd offices and schools through DepEd Order No. 48, s. 2016 and DepEd Memorandum No. 111, s. 2019:

(1) prohibition of smoking and va**ng in schools;
(2) prohibition of selling and advertising to***co and v**e products within the 100-meter perimeter of schools; and
(3) prohibition of engaging partnerships or receiving sponsorship from the to***co industry.

Ka-DepEd, samahan kami ngayong Miyerkoles, Disyembre 17, sa paglulunsad ng National Vision Screenning Program (NVSP).

Alinsunod sa RA 11358 o ang National Vision Screening Act, ilulunsad ang NVSP upang masiguro ang maagang deteksyon ng undiagnosed vision problem sa mga learners.

Katuwang ng DepEd sa programang ito ang Philippine Eye Research Institute (PERI), Integrated Philippine Association of Optemetrists, Inc. (IPAO) at PhilHealth para sa pagpapatibay at epektibong pagpapatupad ng programa.

Abangan ang livestream ng programa sa official YouTube channel, website, at page ng DepEd Philippines.

The Department of Education celebrates the International Adolescent Health Week (IAHW) this March 19-25, 2023, with the theme “With and For Adolescents: Building a Healthier and More Inclusive Future.”

IAHW 2023 brings together young people, healthcare providers, teachers, parents, advocates, and communities to celebrate the youth and collectively work toward improving the health and well-being of more than 1 billion adolescents worldwide. This engages adolescents and those close to them to inspire communities to advocate for a successful transition into adulthood.

Our young people cannot do it alone, so we encourage everyone to get involved in promoting adolescent health and well-being!
