KAPIHAN FOR GOOD GOVERNANCE | DILG Region VI reaffirmed its commitment to transparency, accountability, and responsive governance through its partnership with PIA Region VI during an episode of Kapihan sa PIA Western Visayas.

As a regular media forum, Kapihan sa PIA serves as an effective platform for government agencies to directly engage with media practitioners and the public, ensuring the delivery of timely, accurate, and relevant information to communities.

The activity featured the DILG VI Regional Director Juan Jovian E. Ingeniero, CESO III as principal resource speaker and gathered 15 media partners for discussions on the Department’s priority programs, mandates, and recent policy issuances. Among the key topics discussed were the Anti-EPAL Policy (MC 2026-006), Barangay and SK Inventory and Turnover Guidelines (MC 2026-021), Safer Cities Ordinance Advocacy (MC 2026-029), and other priority initiatives of the Department.

The forum aimed to raise public awareness on key DILG programs, strengthen understanding of the role of LGUs in good governance, clarify issues through an open forum, and deepen collaboration with the media in promoting truthful and timely information.
Through this initiative, DILG Region VI continues to take a proactive approach in empowering citizens, strengthening government-media partnerships, and promoting ethical, accountable, and people-centered governance across Western Visayas.
