With profound sadness, the Veterans Memorial Medical Center joins the Department of National Defense (DND) Family in mourning the passing of Atty. Leticia A. Gloria.

A distinguished public servant and trailblazer, Atty. Gloria dedicated her life to the service of the nation through the DND, where she served as Assistant Secretary for Personnel, Comptrollership, and Logistics, and Assistant Secretary for Legal Affairs.

As the first female graduate of the National Defense College of the Philippines’ Master in National Security Administration (MNSA) Program, she opened doors for future generations of women in national security and public service.

The VMMC family extends its heartfelt condolences to her loved ones, friends, colleagues, and the entire DND and NDCP community. May the Almighty grant her eternal rest and everlasting peace. 🕊️ 🇵🇭

The National Defense College of the Philippines (NDCP) mourns the passing of Atty Leticia A Gloria, MNSA, the first female graduate of the Master in National Security Administration (MNSA) Program and a proud member of MNSA Regular Class 6.

Atty Gloria devoted much of her life to the Department of National Defense (DND). Over the course of her career in government, she served as Assistant Secretary for Personnel, Comptrollership, Installations and Logistics, and Legal Affairs—a testament to her competence and dedication across a wide range of administrative and legal functions.

As a trailblazer, Atty Gloria paved the way for women in national security administration, becoming the first woman to complete the rigorous MNSA Program and inspiring generations of women to follow in her footsteps.

The NDCP extends its deepest condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of Atty Gloria. May her soul rest in eternal peace.

The Veterans Memorial Medical Center (VMMC) marked another milestone in cardiovascular care with the launch of its Arrhythmia and Pacemaker Service under the Department of Internal Medicine's Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory.

With the theme "Advancing Heart Rhythm Care, Enhancing Lives," the new service expands access to specialized electrophysiology and advanced pacemaker interventions for Filipino veterans, their dependents, and the public. The launch also featured a keynote lecture by Dr. Peter Carlo M. Nierras, a presentation of an actual pacemaker implantation procedure, and inspiring patient testimonials that highlighted the life-changing impact of advanced cardiac care.

Guided by its mission of Healing Heroes and its core values of Competence, Character, and Compassion, VMMC continues to bring hope through quality, specialized healthcare.
