QCPL Two-Day Refresher Course for Librarians Licensure Examination ✨📚

On August 17–18, 2026, the Quezon City Public Library successfully conducted its Two-Day Refresher Course for the Librarians Licensure Examination at the QCPL Conference Room.

This meaningful initiative brought together aspiring librarians and LLE examinees for focused discussions, practical insights, exam strategies, and valuable learning sessions facilitated by our dedicated QCPL librarian-resource speakers.

Through this program, QCPL reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the professional growth of future librarians—providing opportunities to learn, prepare, and gain confidence as they faced the challenge of the licensure examination.

Pinta at Likha ✨🎨

In partnership with Barangay North Fairview, the Barangay Council for the Protection of Children (BCPC) led by Kgd. Mark Anthony Pader, together with the QCPL – North Fairview Branch staff, successfully conducted Pinta at Likha—an art tutorial on sketching and coloring with oil pastels—on September 11, 2026.

With the participation of 25 community children, Tr. Randy Robles provided a fun and engaging opportunity for young artists to explore their creativity, learn basic sketching and coloring techniques, and express themselves through art.

Through this activity, the children enhanced their artistic skills, boosted their confidence, and discovered the joy of creating their own masterpieces.

It was truly a colorful day filled with imagination, learning, and creativity! 🌈🖌️

From September 1–12, 2026, young library clients at the QCPL Children’s Section enjoyed the Spell and Find activity in celebration of Literacy Month! 🎉📖

It was a fun way to learn new words, practice spelling, discover the joy of reading, and bond with family and friends. 💡👧👦💙

🐱🧼📚 Storytime with QCPL Pasong Putik! ✨

On September 16, 2026, the QCPL Pasong Putik Branch brought an exciting and meaningful storytelling activity to the young learners of Pechayan Child Development Center, Barangay Pasong Putik.

Through the story “Si Uweng ang Malinis na Kuting,” the children learned valuable lessons about cleanliness, proper hygiene, and caring for themselves and their surroundings. 🧼🫧✨

The young participants listened, joined in, and enjoyed the story—discovering that good habits become fun when shared through storytelling. 📖💕

Activities like this help children develop listening and comprehension skills, spark their interest in books and reading, and introduce positive values they can practice every day.

The QCPL Pasong Putik Branch is proud to bring stories and learning beyond the library walls, closer to the children of our community. 🌱📚

💻 Basic Computer Literacy at QCPL – Talipapa Branch!

On September 2, 3, and 7, 2026, the Quezon City Public Library – Talipapa Branch conducted a Basic Computer Literacy Tutorial for ALS students from Placido Del Mundo Elementary School.

The sessions focused on building participants’ foundational digital skills. Topics included computer literacy concepts, the basic parts of a computer, Google Workspace tools such as Docs, Sheets, and Slides, and internet safety. This activity equipped learners with practical knowledge they can use to support their studies and everyday use of technology.
