Ritenians gathered once again for the annual Misa king Control, a tradition of faith and thanksgiving rooted in Santa Rita’s history.

From the walk to Control D**e to the celebration of the Holy Mass, the occasion brought the community together to remember the story of God’s grace and protection, and to give thanks through the intercession of our patroness, Santa Rita de Cascia.

In his message, Mayor Reynan S. Calo emphasized the importance of continuing this tradition, not only as an annual gathering but as a way of passing on to future generations the story of God’s grace and the faith that has remained part of Santa Rita’s history.

The Municipal Health Office invites interested individuals to avail of the free bilateral and tubal ligation and non-scalpel vasectomy services on October 19, 2026, from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM at Teatru Santa Rita, San Jose, Santa Rita, Pampanga.

For questions and inquiries, interested individuals may visit their respective Barangay Health Stations or the Santa Rita Rural Health Unit (RHU) beside the Municipal Hall.

𝗦𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗮 𝗥𝗶𝘁𝗮 𝗛𝗼𝘀𝘁𝘀 𝗔𝗨𝗙𝗠𝗖 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻’𝘀 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗢𝘂𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵

The Angeles University Foundation Medical Center (AUFMC) Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, in cooperation with the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) of Santa Rita, conducted a half-day community outreach focused on women’s health and well-being.

Themed “Her Safety. Her Health. Her Future.”, the activity featured learning sessions on general well-being, nutrition, screening and immunization by Dr. Dianalyn Sazon Carlos, breast cancer awareness by Maria Dolores Mercado, Chair of the AUF School of Medicine Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and self-care and skincare by Dr. Mayangitan.

The outreach also included simultaneous clinical, pampering, and activity booths offering free haircuts, a photobooth, hygiene kits, and gift giving.

Mayor Reynan S. Calo joined the activity and welcomed the AUFMC team and speakers to Santa Rita. Also present was Dr. Unika Leah C. Angeles, Vice Chair of the AUFMC Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, together with the members of the AUFMC team.

The Municipal Government of Santa Rita, through the MSWDO, continues to welcome partnerships that bring health information, services, and support closer to the community.

𝗕𝗮𝘆𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗮 𝗥𝗶𝘁𝗮 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗥𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗙𝗮𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗿𝘀

A total of 189 Ritenian farmers received cash assistance through the Department of Social Welfare and Development’s Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) program.

The assistance comes at a time when many families and farmers continue to recover from the challenges of the past months.

Mayor Reynan S. Calo was present during the distribution, together with Municipal Social Welfare and Development Officer Ms. Jacqueline Quiambao and members of the Sangguniang Bayan, Hon. Romy Valencia, Hon. Kimberly Cosme, Hon. Rico Sta. Cruz, Hon. Nat Gopez, Hon. Roy Galang, Hon. Alex Cruz, Hon. Jessie Pineda, and Hon. Jay Manalo.

The assistance was made available through the support of Senator Kiko Pangilinan, providing additional support to Ritenian farmers during this period.

Mayor Calo continues to work with national government partners to help bring available assistance closer to Ritenians who need support.

PhilHealth representatives conducted an orientation on the YAKAP Program for the presidents of the Federation of Senior Citizens from Santa Rita’s 10 barangays during a meeting at the Office of the Mayor.

The orientation provided information on the program’s primary care benefits, including consultations, selected laboratory and diagnostic services, medicines, and preventive health services.

Mayor Reynan S. Calo joined the orientation as the Municipality continues to work with PhilHealth in making available health programs and benefits more accessible to Ritenians.

Mayor Reynan S. Calo paid a courtesy visit to the PhilHealth Local Health Insurance Office in Angeles City as part of the Municipality’s continuing efforts to build partnerships that can bring more accessible health services and benefits to Ritenians.

One of the main agenda discussed was the PhilHealth Yaman ng Kalusugan (YAKAP) Program, which provides primary care services such as consultations, selected laboratory and diagnostic services, medicines, and preventive health services to qualified members.

Mayor Calo met with Mr. Robert C. Padron, Head of the PhilHealth Local Health Insurance Office, Angeles City, to discuss possible areas of coordination and how the program’s benefits can be made more accessible to the people of Santa Rita.

The Municipality continues to work with national government agencies and other partners in finding opportunities that can directly benefit Ritenians.

𝗦𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗮 𝗥𝗶𝘁𝗮 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗣𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗯𝘂𝗻𝘆𝗶

Five barangays from Santa Rita were recognized during the 2026 Pamagbunyi: “Huwarang Barangay, Pamahalaang Kaagapay,” a provincial recognition program for outstanding barangays in Pampanga, organized by the DILG Pampanga, and held at Heroes Hall, City of San Fernando.

Barangay San Agustin received 2nd Runner-Up in the Lupong Tagapamayapa Incentives Award, while Barangays Santa Monica and San Agustin were recognized under the 2025 Building Excellence in Service and Transparency (BEST) for Barangays.

Meanwhile, Barangays San Jose, San Matias, and San Juan received recognition for achieving 100% Encoding of Inhabitants under the Barangay Information Management System.

Congratulations to our barangay officials and personnel for these recognitions and for their continued work in serving their communities.

The Municipality of Santa Rita conducted its 3rd Quarter meetings of the Municipal Peace and Order Council (MPOC), Municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Council (MADAC), Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (LDRRMC), Gender and Development (GAD) Council, Local Council for the Protection of Children (LCPC), Local Committee on Anti-Trafficking and Violence Against Women and Children (LCAT-VAWC), and other local councils and committees.

The meetings covered ongoing programs, concerns, and initiatives across different areas of local governance and community welfare.

As the Ber Months begin and the year-end Duman season approaches, Mayor Reynan S. Calo met with 31 Duman farmers to check on the status of this year’s planting and discuss the preparations needed for the coming harvest and the Duman Festival this December.

With planting underway, Mayor Calo also provided assistance to the farmers to help support this year’s Duman production.

The number of participating Duman farmers has grown from just over 20 last year to 31 this year, a positive sign for the continued preservation of pamagduman and the tradition that Santa Rita has carried from one generation to the next.

For Santa Rita, preparing for Duman season is more than preparing for a festival. It is also about making sure that the tradition continues to have farmers who will plant, harvest, and carry on the practice of pamagduman.
