پاکستان ایگریکلچرل ریسرچ کونسل (PARC) نے بیج والے آلو کی پیداوار کو جدید بنانے کے لیے 4.59 ارب روپے کے منصوبے کی تجویز پیش کی ہے، جس کا مقصد درآمدات پر انحصار کم کرنا اور 10,000 سے زائد کسانوں کی مدد کرنا ہے۔
​سیڈ پوٹیٹو پروڈکشن اینڈ سپلائی سینٹر (SPPSC) نیشنل ایگریکلچرل ریسرچ سینٹر میں 2026 سے 2031 تک کام کرے گا، جس میں وائرس سے پاک اور اعلیٰ معیار کے بیج تیار کرنے کے لیے ٹشو کلچر اور ایروپونکس جیسی جدید ٹیکنالوجیز استعمال کی جائیں گی۔
​نمایاں خصوصیات:
​مقامی سطح پر بیماریوں سے پاک بیج کی پیداوار کے لیے قومی مرکز۔
​کولڈ چین کے بہتر نظام کے ذریعے ذخیرہ اندوزی کے نقصانات میں 25 سے 30 فیصد کمی۔
​سرٹیفیکیشن، ٹریس ایبلٹی (سراغ رسانی) اور انوینٹری کے لیے ERP پر مبنی ڈیجیٹل ٹریکنگ۔
​فیڈرل سیڈ سرٹیفیکیشن اینڈ رجسٹریشن کے ساتھ اشتراک۔
​سہولیات میں لیبارٹریز، اسکرین ہاؤسز، کولڈ اسٹوریج اور پیکیجنگ یونٹس شامل ہیں۔
​عالمی علمی تعاون کے ساتھ 1,600 سے زائد اسٹیک ہولڈرز کو تربیت دی جائے گی۔
​اس اقدام سے پیداواری صلاحیت میں اضافے، بیج کے معیار میں بہتری اور پاکستان کی مجموعی زرعی لچک (resilience) کو مضبوط بنانے کی توقع ہے۔

Meeting Summary: Model Farm Services Center (MFSC), District Hangu

In line with the directives issued by the Chief Secretary, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, under the Good Governance Road Map Initiative, a comprehensive meeting of the Management Committee of the Model Farm Services Center (MFSC), District Hangu was convened on October 8, 2025, under the chairmanship of Dr. Mian Sabahatullah, Incharge MFSC, Hangu.

During the meeting, the committee approved the procurement of high-quality fertilizers, pesticides, and seeds to ensure the timely and efficient support of local farmers. The Chair emphasized the importance of modern agricultural technologies, particularly the use of drone technology for pesticide application and crop surveillance, to enhance productivity and ensure transparency in agricultural operations.

The committee also reviewed and discussed the availability of modern machinery and technological resources for the forthcoming Rabi season, ensuring that farmers have access to all necessary inputs and services.

Following the meeting, members of the committee visited the Model Farm Services Center to inspect ongoing preparations and assess the operational readiness of the center.

The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks extended to and from the Chair.

Alhamdulillah 17 varieties of Horticultural Crops [Onion (1), Chillies (4), Avocado (4), Grapes (1), Chrysanthemum (1), Narcissus (2), Iris (3) & Basella (1)were recommended from Horticultural Research Institute NARC in VEC meeting on Tuesday 19th Aug 2025. Principle Breeders are Dr. Hidayatullah, Dr. Nausherwan Nobel Nawab, Dr. Noorullah Khan, Mr. Muhammad Noman, Mr. Muammad Imran, Mr. Shahid Nadeem, Dr. Muhammad Mazhar Hussain & Miss Sanjeela Sabahat.
