Ambassadors and diplomats of ASEAN and Dialogue Partner’s countries in Poland gathered today for a vibrant 59th ASEAN Day reception hosted by the Indonesian Embassy in Warsaw.

Undersecretary of State Wojciech Zajączkowski from the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) was the Guest of Honour.
Also present was the Chairman of the Poland–Malaysia Parliamentary Group, MP Mr. Krzysztof Mulawa.

Reaffirming our collective commitment to building a connected, resilient, and forward-looking community, we stand inspired by this year's official theme and guiding spirit “Navigating Our Future, Together”. The Embassy of Malaysia in Warsaw hosted a Meet-and-Greet Session with members of the Malaysian community in Kraków, Poland.

The gathering brought together Malaysians residing in Kraków, the second-largest city in Poland. The session provided a valuable opportunity to engage with the Malaysian community, exchange views, share updates on consular matters and services, and further strengthen the close ties between the Embassy and Malaysians living in Poland.

The Embassy of Malaysia remains committed to enhancing its outreach to the Malaysian diaspora, delivering effective consular support, and fostering a strong sense of unity and togetherness among Malaysians abroad.

Ambassador Dato’ Azri Mat Yacob received M***i of Poland, Mr. Tomasz Miśkiewicz at the Embassy of Malaysia in Warsaw on 30 July 2026.

The meeting discussed the M***i’s upcoming visit to Malaysia to participate in the Malaysia International Halal Showcase . Discussion also touches on Islamic development cooperation and activities in Poland.

The Embassy of Malaysia in Warsaw, represented by Chargé d’Affaires a.i. Ms. Suhana Zakaria, visited the Embassy of the State of Qatar on 15 July 2026 to sign the Book of Condolence following the passing of the late Father Amir, His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani. On behalf of the Government of Malaysia, the Embassy conveyed its deepest sympathies and heartfelt condolences to the Government and the people of the State of Qatar during this solemn hour.

Malaysia fondly remembers the Father Amir as a cherished friend who greatly strengthened the brotherly relations and deep cooperation between our two nations. As the State of Qatar honours his lasting legacy, Malaysia stands in steadfast solidarity with the Royal Family, the Government, and the people of Qatar in mourning the loss of a truly distinguished leader. The Embassy of Malaysia in Warsaw, represented by Chargé d’Affaires a.i. Ms. Suhana Zakaria, attended the ASEAN Committee in Warsaw (ACW) Chairmanship Handover Ceremony at the Embassy of Vietnam on 15 July 2026. The ceremony commenced with opening remarks by H.E. Ha Hoang Hai, Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and outgoing Chair of the ACW, who reflected on the key activities and milestones achieved during Vietnam's successful tenure.

Subsequently, Ambassador Ha Hoang Hai handed over the ACW Chairmanship to Mr. Agus Heryana, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia, through the symbolic exchange of the gavel. The ceremony was also attended by the Ambassadors of the Republic of the Philippines and the Kingdom of Thailand, alongside members of the ACW Working Group, reinforcing the close diplomatic ties and shared community spirit of the ASEAN mission in Poland.
