Traveling to South Africa? Take note of the following:

The South African Revenue Service (SARS) has announced the enforcement of the declaration of personal goods by travellers when entering or leaving South Africa, including motor vehicles used for travelling. This is a compulsory requirement and applies at all points of entry into South Africa, effective 1 June 2026.

Travelling to South Africa?

Effective 1 June 2026, all travellers entering South Africa are required to complete a SARS Traveller Declaration for temporarily imported personal items, including vehicles.

Our Home Economics Officers are doing the most 👏 👏
Eswatini Government in action!

Today, the Ministry of Agriculture proudly witnessed the graduation of 36 women who successfully completed a 3-month skills training programme facilitated by the Ministry’s Home Economics Officers.
The graduates were equipped with valuable life-changing skills including sewing, baking, detergent making, and many more entrepreneurial skills aimed at improving livelihoods and creating sustainable income opportunities.

Delivering the keynote address, Nozizwe Tsabedze Zwane congratulated the graduates and encouraged them to build partnerships and upscale their businesses. She challenged them to aim higher and produce garments that can one day be sold in the country’s major retail stores.

She also expressed sincere gratitude to World Vision Eswatini for supporting the programme through the provision of fabric and other sewing materials.

“No one can take your skill away from you. This is the beginning of a better life because you will use these skills to create better opportunities for yourselves,” she said.
She further reaffirmed Government’s commitment, through the Ministry of Agriculture, to continue empowering Emaswati , especially women with free practical skills training that can help them earn a living and improve their quality of life.

Congratulations to all the graduates on this remarkable achievement! Your hard work, dedication, and determination have paid off.

A special appreciation goes to Instructor Londiwe Gule Madonsela for the incredible work and commitment in empowering these women with practical skills that will not only transform their own lives, but also positively impact their families and communities.

The Honourable Minister is attending the 93rd General Session of the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH) in Paris, France, alongside Dr. Thembinkosi Ndlangamandla.

The meeting brings together professionals from different countries around the world to discuss animal health, food security, disease control, and international trade.

On the sidelines of the meeting, the Minister met with the SADC WOAH Director, Dr. Moetapelo Letshwenyo, to discuss Foot-and-Mouth Disease (FMD) in the region, Eswatini’s control strategy, and steps towards resuming international trade.

The Minister also held discussions with Botswana officials and the Botswana Vaccines Institute on vaccine supply and other areas of cooperation to support Eswatini’s livestock sector.

More engagements with various representatives are expected throughout the week. These meetings continue to strengthen partnerships, share knowledge, and explore opportunities that will support the growth and protection of Eswatini’s livestock industry.
