As part of the ongoing 2026 National Career Expo, the CIC team was today at the Prince of Wales Grounds in Mbabane, engaging with learners and sharing information on careers in the construction industry.

Earlier this week, the CIC joined stakeholders at the official launch of the 2026 National Career Expo at Mpolonjeni Inkhundla in Siteki, officiated by His Excellency the Honourable Prime Minister.

The National Career Expo is spearheaded by the Ministry of Labour and Social Security in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Training, the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture, alongside other Government Ministries and key stakeholders.

The initiative aims to connect learners, job seekers and young people with career pathways, skills development opportunities and valuable labour market information, empowering them to make informed decisions about their futures.

As a key stakeholder in the construction industry, the CIC remains committed to supporting initiatives that inspire the next generation, promote skills development, and create awareness of the diverse career opportunities available within the built environment.

Did you know that Main Contractors are required to:
Include the Construction Levy in all tenders and Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
Ensure the project is registered with the CIC before construction work commences.

Project owners, developers and financiers also have a responsibility to ensure the Construction Levy is factored into project costs.
Before construction begins, make compliance your first priority.
