Today marked an exciting start to the 2026 Global Money Week Fair

The Centre for Financial Inclusion (CFI), together with our valued partners and financial sector players, officially kicked off this impactful initiative aimed at empowering the next generation with essential financial knowledge.

It was inspiring to see primary school learners actively engaging in financial literacy sessions learning about saving, budgeting, and making smart money choices from an early age. The energy continued as learners explored exhibition stalls from various financial institutions, gaining firsthand exposure to the world of finance in a fun and interactive way.

This is more than just an event; it’s a movement towards building a financially informed and responsible generation.

Today we remember and honor the life of Zamokuhle Magagula-Mkhatshwa, a dedicated farmer, mentor, and an inspiring member of our farming community. Zamokuhle, aged 43, had been farming for over five years and joined the FINCLUDE Project in 2024 as a Business Mentor for the Sigcaweni East Producer Group. Through her commitment, leadership, and passion for agriculture, she supported and guided fellow farmers while building a thriving farming enterprise of her own. She was one of our outstanding farmers proudly supplying NAMBOARD, demonstrating excellence and dedication in her work.

She leaves behind four children, who will carry forward the strength and legacy of a remarkable mother. Zamokuhle will be remembered for her kindness, hard work, and the positive impact she made in the lives of many farmers.

Rest in eternal peace, Zamokuhle Magagula-Mkhatshwa. Your legacy will continue to inspire. 🕊️

The CFI extends heartfelt condolences to the Magagula-Mkhatshwa family and the Sigcaweni East Producer Group during this difficult time.

Exciting progress at Madubane Earthdam in Mkhiweni!

The CFI is pleased to announce that land clearing for the downstream development at Madubane Earthdam has now been successfully completed. This marks a major milestone as we move closer to finalizing this important capital investment that will unlock agricultural opportunities for farmers in this area.

Once operational, the downstream development will enable improved access to irrigation, allowing farmers to expand production, diversify crops, and strengthen their resilience. This investment is expected to support increased productivity, improved household incomes, and more reliable market participation for local farmers. We are incredibly excited to see the project nearing completion and look forward to the positive impact it will have on the farming community in Mkhiweni.

This milestone reflects our continued commitment to strengthening rural livelihoods and promoting inclusive agricultural growth.
