🇲🇹 🇹🇷 The Consul General welcomes the Maltese Parliamentary Delegation for the 152nd IPU Assembly in Istanbul at the Consulate.

The Hon. Speaker of the House of Representatives of Malta, Dr Anġlu Farrugia was accompanied by the Foreign and European Affairs Committee Chair Dr. Edward Zammit Lewis and Opposition Whip Mr. Robert Cutajar and Mr. Ian Paul Bajada.

The 152nd Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) . This assembly will focus on the theme of "Nurturing hope, securing peace and ensuring justice for future generations." It will include the General Debate, the adoption of resolutions on various topics, and the election of a new IPU secretary-general. The assembly aims to strengthen dialogue, raise a collective voice against injustice and conflicts, and develop new ideas for a better world for future generations.

A Christmas and New Year’s Message addressed to Maltese citizens residing abroad by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Tourism of Malta, the Hon. Dr. Ian Borg.

Istanbul 15122015: We felt an immense sense of pride and solidarity as Maltese citizens this morning. The Consulate General of Malta in Istanbul took a truly compassionate initiative by organizing a Mass at the Little Sisters of the Poor Home in Bomonti, Istanbul, specifically for the Diplomatic Corps and Honorary Consuls. This heartfelt gesture was in solidarity with the Consul General of Austria, Josef Staiger and his wife Brigitte, who are enduring a great personal loss with the recent passing of their son Michael Staiger in Vienna.
This act of kindness and unity exemplifies the strength and support within our diplomatic community. It is moments like these that remind us of the importance of coming together and supporting one another during difficult times.
