Open Mic @ Noon is qu**ky approaching!!
We partnering with DRIP Coffee House again in November. This event will be held at DRIP Coffee House in Kaplan on Saturday, November 7, 2026, from 12:15 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. This exciting family literary event is open to all ages.
Whether you are a poet, storyteller, musician or comedian, we welcome participants to share their talents in a supportive and family-friendly atmosphere. Performers will have the opportunity to showcase original pieces or share favorite works.
DRIP will have their full menu available for purchasing specialty coffee drinks and delicious pastries. Registration is required to attend, and children must be accompanied by an adult. To register, or to find out more information about this event, please contact the Kaplan library branch at 337-643-7209.
We encourage everyone to attend, for expression and inspiration, whether as a performer or a spectator. We can’t wait to see what our community has to share.

Lawyers in libraries event is happening this morning at the main library branch in Abbeville. Attorney Jeremy Moody will give brief consulations on a one-on-one, first-come, first-serve basis. This event will not address criminal matters.
Patrons will sign in upon arrival.
