Our number one commitment at A Call for Help is to answer 2-1-1 calls providing quality information and referral for all callers. We continuously improve and annually fully audit our resource database of health and community services provided by non-profit, critical for-profit, and government organizations in the 19-counties of West Central Texas. During times of disaster, 2-1-1 plays a

key role, working in coordination with local and state emergency operations. Social Media Information

Our community is struggling with affordable housing and thanks to our two biggest supporters United Way of Abilene and The Community Foundation of Abilene we are able to run this amazing program.

Today, February 11th, we celebrate 211 Day and the work of the local 211 Texas A Call for Help team. 211 is a critical part of United Way's fight for the health, education, and financial stability of every person in our communities. 211 connects people to resources and services, including disaster assistance, employment services, housing, and utility payment assistance. Every call is answered by a compassionate expert who offers comfort, hope, and solutions.
